People try to predict the economy not realizing it is not a capitalistic market, its a command economy, central planning! my concern is, instead of having much dollar in bank that could lose value to inflation, do I save in gold to reserve and grow wealth for now, or just hang on?
@Olsontim21
@Olsontim21 10 күн бұрын
truth is that gold serves as an inflation hedge in the long run, but not profitable in the short run. only thing you can predict is a strong effort of wealth transfer from the people to the powerful. luckily some folks find solution in financial advisors

I agree. Exactly why I now work with one. A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. I remember some years back, during the covid-outbreak, I needed a good boost to stay afloat, hence researched for advisors and thankfully came across one with grit. As of today, my cash reserve has yielded from $350k to nearly $1m

@bpb5541
@bpb5541 10 күн бұрын
@ of course i have heard of that. Japan and China recently have been net sellers of our debt, not net buyers... and the EU is the only thing holding this shit show together. I am not debunking anything, I am proposing concepts that you might not be aware of. And don't belive me look up to see if what I am saying is true or not. It's not hard to find. Should the EU stop buying our debt... and Japan, and China continue to let theirs roll off (let their US Treasuries mature without buying new ones). The FED will have to come in and moitize it, be the buyers of last resort. At much higher yields. The FED cut, yields are going up not down. That is what we need to watch. That 10 year is everything and I think it going to rip everyone's face off. The more the FED montizies the more that devalues the dollar at an even faster rate. I am warning you... I am not attacking you. I don't belive 98% of the things people say. I read ... A LOT... like 2 books a week. And verify though critical thinking and research what is being said. Which is why I have come to the conclusion that America is screwed... its just a matter of time now. Be careful, be kind. Stack food and water, the more the better.

They actually shared the profits we would grow together , but they don’t… they keep the record profits and find ways to pay us less… you actually want to fix things??? Then the change needs to be limits to the greed… pay the people well who actually do all the damn work..that would incentivize people to work instead of feeling like what’s the point, I’m just a modern day slave. Also more people would have more money to spend, so there’s a great growing economy. People would feel good and secure, so they would have children. Huh that fixes population replenishing. And don’t worry, you can still be richer than the rest of us and feel like you’re better than everyone… just maybe not so disgustingly richer… hmmm just a thought you all never seem to consider.. the ultra wealthy are the most destructive force there is. Take your record profits and pay the workers and lower prices.

The upper echelons and corporate entities have for decades been keeping a bigger share of profits and wealth. So, if I understand Hanke right, under Reagan the poor did very well and income inequity was reduced? This seems to be an outlier opinion. Most studies show that income inequality massively increased under Reagan and Bush Sr.

@@anarkitty0 Yes, that is part of the picture as well. The 80s were so different from our time ... there was still a healthy car industry in America ... and relatively well paid blue collar jobs. Sure, interest rates were high ...but real estate prices were such that it was easier to finance a home inspite the high interest rates. Today: well paid blue collar jobs almost no longer available and house prices are absurd in most areas.

@dbarker7794 The principles of running a country should not be too different and should have MANY of the same prudent guiding principles as a national economy. In fact, the word economy comes from the Latin word "oeconomia" which means household finances. Sound economies that do run similar to a sound household reflect a healthy, strong economy (see Switzerland)

Harris got about a billion in funding from the wealthy elites, far more than trump It's important that Trump has already rich to me. so that he's not just getting into office to enrich himself, or to serve his donors, like most elected officials do Elon has never been in it for the money and actually cares about people, so he is also a great person to be on trumps team
