After Eights were a expensive, indulgent chocolate when they first came out ( 1962 ), that's why you could only eat one, mainly to have after dinner with coffee, in England they are a national treasure now and sold everywhere, given as presents and people eat them at any time 😁

After Eight are eaten in most homes at Christmas. Also we have 2 challenges to do with After Eights. 1. Try to turn the wrapper inside out without ripping it. 2. Put an After Eight on your forehead with your head tilted back slightly and slowly let it fall into your mouth. Both are possible. Good luck.

I notice Americans tend to immediately chew everything. A lot of these things are meant to be savoured. Chocolate in itself is designed to melt at mouth temperature, try giving things time to develop before smashing it to smithereens, it's a different eating experience Same with boiled sweets, they're long lasting mild flavour when sucked, potent and strong when chewed

Never heard of eating a chocolate biscuit with chocolate down, the chocolate is always on the top. After eight mints were so called because you generally ate on after 8pm so after the evening meal to cleanse the pallet. I now live in the netherlands and just about every restaurant has mints near the exit so you can take one to cleanse the pallet when leaving.

We don't have Shamrock Shakes at McDonalds in the UK, we have Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla and Banana (says the website) Our current Mcflurries are Oreo, Galaxy Caramel, Smarties, Maltesers and erm Tiramisu! Ben you will be delighted to learn we sometimes have After Eight Mcflurries. Great video!

After eights are a traditional after dinner mint, served with coffee and the traditional time for the evening meal in the UK was usually 8pm. I've never been a fan of after eights to be honest. Quite popular at Christmas 😀

Your reactions to the Sherbert Lemons made me smile, especially as they were my late grandad's favourite sweets. They always remind me of my weekly visits, with a pack of these sweets among other things, to see my lovely grandparents. I loved having a laugh with them while listening to all their stories. Priceless!
