After Eights were a expensive, indulgent chocolate when they first came out ( 1962 ), that's why you could only eat one, mainly to have after dinner with coffee, in England they are a national treasure now and sold everywhere, given as presents and people eat them at any time 😁

After Eight are eaten in most homes at Christmas. Also we have 2 challenges to do with After Eights. 1. Try to turn the wrapper inside out without ripping it. 2. Put an After Eight on your forehead with your head tilted back slightly and slowly let it fall into your mouth. Both are possible. Good luck.

I'm American and when I tried the Picnic bar it was the greatest candybar I ever had. I also love the Lion bar, Starbar, Dairymilk, Timeout Wafer and Chomp. Brits are so lucky they don't have chemicals and so much sugar in their chocolate

I notice Americans tend to immediately chew everything. A lot of these things are meant to be savoured. Chocolate in itself is designed to melt at mouth temperature, try giving things time to develop before smashing it to smithereens, it's a different eating experience Same with boiled sweets, they're long lasting mild flavour when sucked, potent and strong when chewed

Never heard of eating a chocolate biscuit with chocolate down, the chocolate is always on the top. After eight mints were so called because you generally ate on after 8pm so after the evening meal to cleanse the pallet. I now live in the netherlands and just about every restaurant has mints near the exit so you can take one to cleanse the pallet when leaving.

-Aero id guess is because they "aerate" it. -There's no way After Eight is too minty. Maybe you guys only use it in toothpaste or you just don't like mint?! In the UK we are massive on mint flavours, loads of types of mints, mint chocolates, mint toffees, mint biscuits and it's the default for chewing gum too.

Heh if you think the Milka is thick, try a Yorkie which has much thicker chunks, the break segments might be about the same thickness as the Milka. Regarding the Curly Wurly's, sadly they're at most half the size they were originally.

If you are intending to sample a typical English Cream Tea when you visit the UK, then it's an absolute MUST that you visit one of the cafes in Windsor. You can sit in the cafe and view the Castle which is only a few yards away. It'll be scones with double cream and jam on top, sandwiches and a pot of tea plus cakes. WONDERFUL (but expect to pay a premium amount for the privilege of being in Windsor and sitting right by the Castle!)

If your chocolate starts to turn white it means the cocoa butter has separated, this happens when chocolate is old and sending it in the mail can make this happen too. It's probably unheard of in the US because of all the preservatives in everything.

We don't have Shamrock Shakes at McDonalds in the UK, we have Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla and Banana (says the website) Our current Mcflurries are Oreo, Galaxy Caramel, Smarties, Maltesers and erm Tiramisu! Ben you will be delighted to learn we sometimes have After Eight Mcflurries. Great video!
