What can we say!!! We both absolutely LOVED watching this video ❤️ You guys are so natural and so perfect together, we love your personalities. Because we've only messaged before it's so nice now hearing your voice and seeing you try our candy! We wrote notes while we watched so here are our replies... haha 😀 -Love the fact you both said cheers! So funny when Shaun/Sean (sorry not sure which way it's spelt) Says do we have to touch the food together every time. 😂 -You say you're awkward but you are not at all! You got into the trying so naturally! You guys definitely need to do more videos!! We would definitely watch!! -Kristina Marie I feel like you're like me, we take our time and eat smaller bites where as the boys just keep eating and looking whats next all of the time haha. -Love that you rated things!!! We tend to forget sometimes too Shaun haha!! 😆 -Made me laugh when you said Shaun's dad would like the Smarties haha. They are the Easter egg versions, the normal ones are smaller! -Mini Egg Easter Egg- In the past they used to hide the chocolates inside the eggs which was so fun to break into the egg and get the treats but for some reason they now come separate? Maybe a health and safety risk? -No!! you're great at showing the packages!! ☺️ -Does the galaxy taste like your Dove? I always see it and think how the branding of the words look exactly the same? --We wonder that about the lays and walkers too! Must be the same company surely!! Thank you so much for making this video! We were gutted when it ended as we were having so much fun watching it you made us laugh so much, we didn't want it to end! It's so interesting to watch you guys analyse all of our everyday candy! You describe everything so well!! Cant wait for more videos to come 😘😀 Kate & Alex x

Will Murdo Hi Will! Thank you so much for watching and enjoying our first video!! Thanks for the comment too! The problem with doing a part two with the same candy box, is we didn't realize the camera actually stopped filming, so we kept trying the candy! If we were to try again the candy would either be gone or half eaten🤣 we will definitely do another tasting. Maybe from another country. Do you have a suggestion?? 🤗

InTheKitchenWithKate Kate! Alex! Hi!!! 🤗 This is so EXCITING!!! Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and again for sharing our video!! I love that you made notes! I thought of doing the SAME thing when I watched you try our candy, but I got so excited and into it and then so excited to comment, I forgot! 🙈 -It's Shaun, you were right the first time! Good job! 👍🏼 -This is so true, we are similar!! And guys just love to eat! 🤣but hey! So do we!! We are foodies at heart♥️ -I can see the similarities in Galaxy and Dove because they are both really CREAMY, but Galaxy in my opinion is still way better!! -We will definitely be purchasing a box of yours in the future to do a part 2! And hopefully we will have done a few other videos in between by then so we will be more experienced to not let the film mishap happen again! 😜 -Thank you both again SO MUCH!! 💕-Kristina and Shaun🤗

I enjoyed this more than some of the "professional" channels around because it is exactly what I want to see - normal people trying things that are familiar to me but new to them. It was so much more relatable because it was like watching friends just enjoying themselves doing something rather than a cynical attempt to just make money or get views. The relationship between you two is natural and fun to watch. Thank you for this video, although I was so disappointed it ended so abruptly! If you make more videos of trying British things, I'll watch them too!

Walkers was bought by Lays some years ago and they are both part of PepsiCo. Galaxy chocolate is Dove chocolate but UK chocolate is made by a different method to that in America. Your Smarties are the same as the UK Love Hearts. Most Americans say UK Smarties are M&Ms but UK Smarties were first produced four years before M&Ms.
@heatherelf776 жыл бұрын
So confusing because we have conversation hearts here which are the same as Necco wafers. Completely different texture and almost sickly sweet flavor vs smarties more tart flavor
@debbielough77546 жыл бұрын
M&Ms were made in the first place because the guy who invented them saw Smarties in Europe, and though the Americans should have something similar.
@RB747domme5 жыл бұрын
George Davie well actually, Walkers wasn't bought by Lays, Walkers and Lays merged due to a share merger, which is why their logos are the same because they both retained 50% ownership of the company. And then, that company is now wholly owned as a subsidiary of Pepsi. But it's important to realise that Walkers are still the same brand, even though they have merged with Lays, allowing them freedom to invest and market their own flavours in Europe which was part of the merger contractual agreement. European vice president of Walkers crisps, Dale Richardson, is in charge of flavour branding and homologation. Lays, USA, Inc. Have their own vice president Of flavour branding. It's a really interesting company setup. And wonderful to explore, if you go on one of their open days.

Cadbury used to be an English company (more of an institution actually) but it was taken over by Kraft, which I think is an American company? There were actually protests about the takeover at the time lol. TBH though, I don't think they've changed the recipes for the most part, everything pretty much tastes like it always did. They did broaden the range though, a lot more chocolate with added things like popping candy etc.
@OfficiallySanctionedKATG6 жыл бұрын
They signed contracts on the understanding that they would keep the original cadbury recipe, but within 4 years they changed it. Cadbury chocolate is nothing like how it was before it was sold. They even went as far as using a chocolate on the cadbury cream eggs which basically had many of the same ingredients that tasted like dog chocolate. Its a company called Mondolez that own kraft/cadbury but they also own a chocolate brand called Milka but they havent changed that recipe. Milka chocolate still tastes amazing.

The primary difference between UK and US chocolate is that UK is made with real milk where as US it is not and sugar replaces the milk.

Am I right in saying that in America you only have Cadbury eggs? Because in the UK Cadburys are one of our main brands and they do all sorts of different Styles and tastes of chocolate . Interesting.

I just want to see what happened once the camera got turned off! I bet your home looked like a crime scene with empty sweet wrappers everywhere, and two bodies passed out on the sofa from a massive sugar overdose! The little jelly sweets are pronounced Harry Bow = Haribo Really enjoyed your video, it was really natural, no stupid music or graphics, no shouting or acting up in front of the camera, it was just really enjoyable to watch you both! Hope you do more videos like this, its really interesting to see others react to things that I take for granted everyday, here in the uk! Subscribed!

Walkers came first in 1948. Salt and Vinegar are my favourite. Enjoyed your video. Shame it ended too soon.

I found your video through Kate and Alex. You're video is awesome. I wanted to mention that we have Cadbury products in the US but not real Cadbury. I read online that, in the early 2000s (I don't remember when exactly), Hershey's took Cadbury to court and they won. Cadbury is not allowed to import products into the US. Every Cadbury product we have is made by Hershey's using their version of the Cadbury recipe.

Amy Levin omg, how interesting! I knew it was different when we tried it! I like both but chocolate in the U.K. is way better in my opinion! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!

Kristina Marie I agree. I think chocolate from other countries, like England, is 100 times better than our Hershey's.

One of the reasons was that when Cadbury Schweppes was put up for sale by their shareholders Hershey put a bid in to purchase the company, one idea was that Hershey may of moved production to the USA and people were not happy, but then Kraft Foods (Mondolaze International ) put in a higher hostile bid and the Cadbury Shareholders including I believe a member of the Cadbury family who was still on its board, I think it was Peter Cadbury with the share holders agreed to accept Kraft's bid over Hershey and so Hershey loosing out went out of their way to stop the sale of UK made Cadbury chocolate from its factory in Birmingham Uk from being sold in the US, unless Hershey could make it under licence.

You did a great job :) I really liked watching this. I noticed you say that we don't have Galaxy in America, but we do, it's just called Dove.
