Sarah Swetz Huang is a teacher in the U.S. She studied in #China as an exchange student in 2008. During her time in China, she found that each city has its own unique #culture and cuisine. In the process of interacting with locals, Sarah discovered how different generations of Chinese families maintain close bonds. She expressed hope for more language exchange programs in the future, which will give U.S. children access to Chinese language and culture. #America

Have Americans kid more expose to Chinese language. That's a great idea. But this is exactly not what the US politicians want.

The "American character" was heavily shaped and driven by capitalism and business expansion need of the last two hundred years. When the driving power weakens, the American character lost its orientation and started self abandonment and self destruction. I am so glad you have found Chinese culture to fall back on. It's not a sexy and glorious culture, and even a little bit mundane, but it's solid and mellow
