Excellent review, my wife and I purchased one of these a few years ago and wanted it to be softer and Amerisleep sent us a 3 inch topper, now we’re completely spoiled when we travel everything else is too hard now. Thanks

how would you compare the as5 to the leesa reserve?
@NapLabReviews9 күн бұрын
Both high performance mattresses, but very different in terms of feel. The biggest difference is AS5 Hybrid has an extra soft feel. Even at its most soft feel, Leesa Reserve isn't as soft. You can see how they compare here - naplab.com/tools/side-by-side-mattress-comparison-tool/?_mattress_name_dropdown=amerisleep-as5-hybrid%2Cleesa-reserve

@@NapLabReviews Thanks! Also, in the video the text says the sinkage is 2.21 vs average 2.23, but you said it's deeper than the average. Did you mean less deep? Also out of curiosity do you know which mattress has the most sinkage that you have tested?
@NapLabReviews2 күн бұрын
@@cady4917 Oops, sorry about that, that was a mistake in my script. I did mean "slightly less deep". The Amerisleep Organica Plush has the deepest sinkage of any mattress we've tested to date. See here - naplab.com/go/amerisleep-organica-plush-mattress You can use this tool - naplab.com/tools/table-tool/ - to see and sort all mattresses we've tested to date by sinkage (and many other factors as well).

Sex 9.8 confirmed for non coil version as well. You can really knock the bottom out of it.

We have had the Saatva RX that gave me pain in the hips(I am side sleeper) Also gave me back pain. Switched it out to a spit king with adj base Saatva Classic soft, still waking with back pain, but my hip felt better during the night. Specs that I can give you, I am side sleeper at 170 lbs…5’5” and have had hip surgery. My husband is a combo sleeper at the same weight and a couple inches taller. We are both seniors. We went to the split king in case we need different firmness levels. I am confused as to why the Saatva in both models gives me back pain. After sleeping on a 2006 simmons BRWC Bianca Plush, I now know it is the Saatva causing the back pain. Could it be their patented mid support system? At any rate, could you please help me with a recommendation for a different mattress? Thank you for all you do.

Sounds to me like 2 things are true: 1) You need a soft feel. The RX is a medium-firm and likely just too firm for you. 2) You need a plusher, thicker, foam layer. Saatva Classic has less foam...and while it is soft, it's not enough for for your body. So something like the Amerisleep AS5 could be a good fit for you...though I fear it might be too soft. Here are other choices I'd recommend you take a look at: Winkbed (softer) - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/winkbed-review/ Bear Elite (soft) - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/bear-elite-hybrid-review/ Nolah Evolution (soft) - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/nolah-evolution-15-review/
