great vid. im partially sighted so looking at your video you didn't rush. thanx. ive got a moon wall light which eliminates the cycle of the moon. I have sum left over Christmas ballballs for planets stuck on the wall with blue tac. now would it look sily if only painted the corner of the wall and should I use the same black and grey,white. or something else. I don't want it to look to dark and dingy. oh I also stuck some little battery lights for a few stars. thank you

AWESOME JOB! The moon seemed a little darker than it should be, but it looked beautiful, more accurate than other painting that I have seen. Do you also do junipers, and planets? I'm painting my sons ceiling night sky with moon and would like to add some planets junipter or something. let me know! including night glow, are you able to do that?

Jackie, that's because it has been sped up in the interest of time so you can quickly see the end result. Pause it at each stage and follow along, it's a lot easier than one would think to achieve the same result. I used to think there was no way I could create artwork like this, but I was wrong. :-)

I was (and still am) about as beginner as a beginner can possibly get - and I did not find this difficult to follow at all. I guess you just have to want to take the time to watch it through, then start it over and pause it as you follow along and complete each step. Yes, it's rushed in the interest of time, but it is not too difficult for a beginner to grasp if they want to. The steps are simple.

Why the hell is ugly art that you can't even make out so expensive? That moon painting she did jumps off the paper,looks realer than the moon we all see in the sky at night! Her painting should be $500,000.00.. I'm mad at artists who squat over a canvas 1-6 hours after they drink a bottle of Magnesium Citrate and make 100s of thousands.

i haven't tried to paint this moon but iv painted a small planet and put some glow in the dark paint on it to see if it worked. and it did it looked really cool i even did some glowing stars aswell :) oh and yes you put it on last

Amy, I just love your tutorials! You make everything look so easy and I learned very quickly that you are a true artist in every sense of the word. I attempted this lovely moon and even though the end product turned out pretty good, I managed to paint my table which I had covered, my fore arm, all of my fingers, my nose and when I looked down, both of my dogs have pretty blue noses. get a small spray mister bottle -- you can gently spray the paper and make the acrylic a little more workable when it has dried
