@@dragospahontu Exactly. There’s absolutely no point in getting just another 4 cyl when you still can get what may be one of the last of those brilliant 5 cylinder engines. I don’t care if the new RS3 is a tenth or two of a second slower in the 0-60 or on the 1/4 mile, and we have yet to confirm it. Plus, the RS3 always looks better. And yes, those “AMG’s” do look good and are fast.

It may not be usefull info, but its not tunable at all. Stage 2 is like 350hp. Not worth it. Id even take a golf R for that price too. Stage 2 is around 400 hp, so a big difference 🤷‍♂️

Love the comparison however the A35 is still a capable performer. A low 13 second quarter mile is nothing to scuff about and at 13k less I would definitely choose the A35 and change the grill to the Panamera grill option. I am thinking with a good tune and exhaust and the comparison would be much closer

Also add a mechanical LSD to the rear. I think all these would be sorted out for something like 1.5K and you would get 90% of the performance for 11.5K less. Good deal.

My only problem with the A35 AMG is, that it isn't a real AMG. It has the same engine as a A220 or A250. The only differences are the Turbocharger, some different gaskets, a different Software and some other little Changes.

Yup, and that’s a pretty bad time for an A35 as well, I’ve seen it do it in 12.9s or even better. Also, I care much more about how the car handles and performs on the road and how fun it is. I recently got an A35 as my first car and couldn’t be happier, more than I need by a long shot and the interior is superb.

a stage 1 35 is basically a stock 45 lol but not as consistent u still get a slower 0-60 its like 4.2 sec vs a stock 45 is 4 sec its redundant really to get a 35 an tune it itll still lose to a stock 45, just get a 45 cuz the engine in the 35 isnt a real AMG engine the 35 has a normal mercedes engine built in an assembly line the 45 has a real hand built AMG engine with a better twin scroll turbo and better engine displacement wich can make and handle more power consistently.

Yeah 100% worth the difference . The tuning in the a45 is mental! Stage 1 and your 500bhp on the a45, to get near that you’d have to put a bigger turbo and change everything on the a35. A45 is a hand built engine aswel.

About the wet braking. The A45s is in Michelin PS4s, while the A35 has some Pzero. Especially in wet, the tyre makes a huge difference, up to few meters. And when the difference is cm, its a mix of tyres and driver reaction. In future when you do tests in “british weather” try to remove the tyre element
