French videogame called "Opération Jupiter" or "Hostages" from 1988 by Infogrames. The game is inspired by techniques used in real life by the GIGN (Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale - Gendarmerie Nationale is a police force linked to the french army). It is an elite section especially trained for difficult missions, as counter terrorism or for free hostages. Original music is by Charles Callet (composer for North and South, Gobliiins, Ween The Prophecy etc.).

This game was incredible. Especially because the last stage was in real time : bandits weren't static but were able to move themselves in each floor and even to go up and down the stairs!

Late 80's pixel art was so realistic, yet still 16-bit in essence. I love that shit!
@spearPYN4 жыл бұрын
Requiem4aDr3Am From Wikipedia: Pixel art is a form of digital art, created through the use of software, where images are edited on the pixel level. The aesthetic for this kind of graphics comes from 8-bit and 16-bit computers.

Dunno, is it really a longplay when you didn't even get Echo or Mike to the sniper spots on the west and north sides of the embassy? I played Rescue on the NES a lot, this game was more about replayability and beating your times from the previous run. Ah, the memories.
@azmodanpc6 жыл бұрын
I guess he was trying to save time in the following two sections, putting all the snipers in place at that level of difficulty requires a little more time to complete the phase. I'd rather spend the time clearing the rooms in the third section.
