Thanks Baz. I agree, much cleaner solution with the MiSTress board

@@RTSRetroTechShed I just noticed they do a 1200 version, i'm gutted cos i hacked the back of my 1200 case up in order to fit the pi/keyrah in..

Yes, that is a pity. Are you able to patch it with some 3D printing? I have some saved searches on eBay for Amiga cases, sometimes they come up at the right price - so maybe worth a try.

awesome video. i just finished building a Mister in an a1200.net case with a variety of parts and adapters. after seeing your video i'm now tempted to tear it all down and do it with a Mistress board. it all looks so much tidier. have you tried an MT32 Pi yet?
@RTSRetroTechShed2 жыл бұрын
Thanks David. If you watch some of the other Amiga MiSTer videos on the channel you will see my earlier prototype using 3D printed backplates, but the MiSTress is definitely a much neater solution. I have tried the MT32 PI. It worked fine for me, but did exceed the power budget, so had to have a separate power supply.

Got a Mistress for my A1200 case and it’s a wonderful bit of kit! Unfortunately I’m not sure if a FDD will fit inside in the future if needed…

Hi Bruno. I agree, great kit. Also, I think you're right - the FDD might be not quite fit in the case

Great video - don't know much about a mister so this was very interesting and a very neat solution with the mistress board. Looking forward to your follow up video. How well does a mister "emulate" so to speak, a real Amiga? Are there still limitations/compatibility issues?
@RTSRetroTechShed2 жыл бұрын
Thanks James. The Amiga 500 MiSTer is built using a Terasic DE10-Nano FPGA development board. This runs the Minimig Amiga core (and a lot of other machine cores) to create the Amiga chipset (68000/68020 CPU and the amiga custom like Paula etc.) on the FPGA. It does this every time you load the core, but very quickly. Development of the Minimig core is ongoing, but is already very mature. In terms of the user experience, there is little difference from real hardware. There are some other Amiga MiSTer videos on the channel you might like to watch as these will demonstrate more of the functionality.

The Mister Amiga core is pretty nice for graphics and games. Just I don't think there's a way to print from Mister? Not that I'm aware of?

In theory network printing should work, but i've not really tested it
