Amiga A1200 modifications - Modernising a humble Amiga - 'Back In Black'

Welcome to the story of the 'Back In Black' Amiga A1200.
In this video I take a vanilla stock-standard Amiga A1200 and modernise it, to some degree.
This is a video of that journey.
As part of the modernisation I fit the following:
• A1200.net case
• A1200.net keycaps
• OS 3.2 ROMs
• Internal CF card with OS 3.2 on it
• Real time clock module
• 8Mb RAM expansion

Looks really cool! Another option could also be a variant with gray/white keys like a commodore plus/4. An a batch with red letters.

Yes I have some plans around this, but for now I'll stick with all black but keep my options open. 😎

If I was the cap maker I would have done the tab, shift... another shade, it would help to contrast from the case and bring the same kind of aesthetic present in the original case

It looks sexy in black. The clock I installed in my A1200 did'nt work either until I changed the battery and installed some software, sorry but I can't remember the name of it. (I renamed the draw to Temp Sensor, it has a program called AK_Sensors. My RTC also has a temprature sensor on board and an external one for the CPU). Once that was installed, it worked fine. I went a bit mad with my A1200's memory upgrade. It's got 137 MB. LOL

Thanks Frank. 😎 I’ll try changing the battery out first, then if that doesn’t work I’ll relocate the RTC to the memory card, which has an RTC port. Not the end of the world, but nice to have.
