Omg Nathan ur back! So happy you uploaded a new video Happy new year to u and everyone watching this! Not sure if this trick is a beginner level… aka not as my level… would u say this is a beginner trick? Either way it’s a great trick! Would love more beginner level tricks! Thanksss

Thanks for watching! I would say this is probably not a beginner trick due to the ending being left up to chance. You have to be prepared to encounter many different outcomes, so that can be daunting to a beginner! But yes I’ll post more beginner tricks soon!

I’m watching this and it’s a really cool idea using the crimp as a card control. I think the next level up is allowing the participant to shuffle their own card in between the sandwich cards. While shuffling the cards is a skillful way to do it, u can also do the standard sandwich trick, then cut it into the middle and do a false shuffle. My thoughts on how to let the participant genuinely shuffle would be pretending to do the shuffle, which is actually you controlling the sandwich to the bottom, then cop it away when passing the deck to be shuffled. Tell them to leave the deck on a table or give it back to you, palm it back to the bottom then just cut and spread to show them they shuffled the cards to sandwiched their selection.

Great idea for having the spectator shuffle the deck! I think your idea works for someone who can’t really riffle shuffle the deck, as it would eliminate the risk factor. But if you’re performing this for someone who you know can riffle shuffle well, then you should actually just do the trick as taught in this video! That way it could be a genuine miracle for the spectator to shuffle their card in the sandwich for real. (Obviously while prepared to encounter the other outs, I think it’s worth a shot!) You can gauge how well someone shuffles a deck before the trick even starts, by handing them the deck and asking if they can riffle shuffle!

@@AMillionCardTricks yg doing a real shuffle is a very cool way of achieving this effect. Both methods work and it’s just down to the performance style. The multiple outs is a cool aspect too, u could even do the version I mentioned if somebody asked u to do it again.

Impressive content, A Million Card Tricks. Looking forward to your next upload! I smashed that thumbs up icon on your video. Keep up the fantastic work! Your explanation of the crimp technique was really enlightening. Have you noticed any specific reactions from spectators when the trick succeeds or fails?

Thanks! Usually if a trick fails, I try to play it off with comedy and make light of it, because at the end of the day it’s really not a big deal if a trick fails. But knowing how to improvise and find a new ending is a very important skill to have if you want to be a good magician!

Hey man!! I love these tricks that seem very fair, i take them and then build storys of the trick and preform them as part of a story! I remember you taught a trick with the 4 tens, well i saw that and then saw dani da ortiz fool us routine, and learned the whole routine, iv been preforming it for family and groups of friends. but it took like 2 weeks to get ready to preform that thing haha. anyways i say this to let you know that trick inspired me to learn! Here on youtube theres only a few magicians who really do teach magic that is well thought out and very clean and creative! I would love to see more like this or more like that trick with the 4 tens.(3 spectator selected the tens then spread force the cards)!

Thanks for the comment! I love trying to make tricks feel as fair as possible, and Dani is the master at that! Will definitely try to make more tricks like that one.

@@AMillionCardTricks bro, today in class i was preforming tricks, and it was great, then a crowd forms and the whole class is watching. so i do danis acaan and those were the best reactions iv gotten in a long time. i always add my own story to it, so my magic character went into a cave and fouond a old sakred tradiiton, and then story is that he keeps messing it up. thats how i set it up for the ritual part haha

Wrong! If you actually watched the video you would understand that there is no way to “fail” this trick. I showed the 4 possible outcomes and how you can maneuver the card in between the sandwich (all of which end with the card genuinely in between the sandwich)
