The monastery seems to be a good choice! The silence that you are having there is so healing. I would like a combination between the society and monastery and it is realizable, but sometimes it is hard. Anyway, I like very very much your videos and almost every time I laugh. You are amazing. I wish for you a lot of blessings!

Nooo, of course not, it's just really funny because it's a monk who says it! :D If a non-believer would say this, maybe it would be to laugh with it, but it's just extremely funny! :D And to be honest, the habits of religious people are the most beautiful things I've ever seen, real fashion! And that's fashion for Jesus, so ... :D Keep on doing this good work! It makes me smile every time!

And seriously: if you look at the faces of the society-fashion wearing people and the heavenly-fashion wearing people ... you see the big difference! :) The joy of the Lord is my strength! Neh 8:10

I feel the call to be a monk. The culture in America is very alienating. Very violent. And as a society, we're so isolated from one another, so atomized, and I feel the need to be part of something better.

I have had God speaking to my inner self. He has told me to become a monk at Montserrat were there are only 13 monks left. I found this out after a holiday with my family when we made a visit to Barcelona cathedral one day. I got so emotional and starting filling up. it was so over whelming. My partner asked me what's wrong, I said it's this cathedral it's so spiritual and beautiful. Then we made a visit to Montserrat and I knew then what I wanted to do. I want to be a monk at Montserrat. This is my call from God, I know it and feel it. But I can't just get up and go and leave my family, it's not that simple. They need me and my son is 10 yrs old. But this desire of God gor me will not leave me.

Not much of a difference. We can do both and still seek God. The one on love is wrong. It should have been marriage and celibate . Don't tell me that those two people holding hands that have fallen in love, don't go to mass like the monks. Great video anyway. Thanks

The monks in a monastery are its "parishoners". The communities are usually small, so everyone get to know one another really well. In a diocese, the parishes can be huge, and the parishoners distant from one another. Both types of communities are "The People of God" but there are differences in how we live out our lives. Both are families but with different agendas.
