I love this event in The Gospel. I can't begin to imagine the joy these men experienced spending this time w/our Lord as they were sad about HIS death on the cross only to realize that they had been listening to Jesus quote the Scriptures that foretold of HIM and when HE broke the bread it dawned on them that this was THE LORD. How much more joy will we experience when HE comes to gather us together to meet HIM in the clouds and be w/HIM forever ???? This world will pass away but we will endure with HIM forever. Give honor and praise to HIM who lives forever. TY Amir, we needed to be reminded of this and what's to come.

I agree with Amir; this is my biggest desire-to have heard that conversation where Jesus told them how he had been written about throughout the whole Old Testament. He also told more to the 11 when He appeared among them in the upper room that night where they were gathered behind closed doors for fear of the Jews. He opened the Scripture to them and He does the same for us.

Thanks a lot Amir. It’s the second time I hear about this story today. It seems that the Holy Spirit is in sync :). Pastor Prince explained Emmaus being a picture of what happened in Eden. Just as a new beginning. Adam and Eve had to decide between two trees and did not decide for the tree of life. The two going to Emmaus have been blinded by him and Jesus opening their eyes for believe rather to the physical by showing them Jesus in the scripture. Blessed are the ones who believe and have not seen him. Jesus is the (tree of ) life. God bless you
