Great reaction! Hundreds of sopranos have sung this hymn since it was composed in 1970. But the arrangement that Amira sang in this concert is one that only she can sing. No soprano today has the physical attributes to do what Amira did here, at the age of 13. The notes are immensely long, one after the other. Any soprano would be breathless. But Amira didn't lose her breath, she didn't breathe loudly into the microphone, she didn't let any note get out of hand, she maintained an impeccable rhythm and a totally harmonic phrasing. It's for performances like this that millions consider her the best soprano singer of all time.

Hey Jorge, thanks for stopping by. Yeah, Amira's voice is something to marvel at. While I'm not knowledgeable about various sopranos or the world of opera music, I can tell that her voice has this amazing presence. She had my full attention the entire performance

Great reaction!!! This was my first appearence at a performance of Amira… in the open air on a ponton in the litlle harbour of Steenbergen ! Since then I am addicted to her ! Hope you will do more of her! I subscride 👍 I am sure you need a whole bottle of that stuff😂

A lot of composers have produced music for Ave Maria, essentially a catholic prayer to the virgin Mary. Amira has sung four different versions. One based on Bach helped her win Holland's got talent , in 2013 when she was 9. Another, she sings in Spanish at 11, Ave Maria, Gomez. That's an absolute jawdropper. She does prefer the classical spectrum, but she also sings religious piece's, and music from theatre and films. Whatever she sings it is always performed impeccably and often leaves the listener speechless. Sprinkle one or two more in, you won't regret it.
