Great reaction, man! Really great. Amira, only 13, but already a shining queen. She's been independent of the big producers for some time. When she was still under contract at Sony Masterworks and elsewhere, she won two diamonds, two platinums and two gold records. She donates half of all her net earnings to her charity foundation to help poor children in South Africa. She has already received the Humanitarian of the Year award in Italy. Last year, she won South Africa's Anti-Racism Award.

She was about to emigrate to South Africa, and was feeling woozy from the inoculations, but she wanted to perform for the Netherlands before she left. She stiffened the sinews and delivered for this tv show. The first one is a Puccinni opera aria, sung in Italian, the second an Ennio Morricone film score, sung in English. Neither are her native tongue, she weaves between the two seamlessly. I'll listen to anything she sings, it's all beautiful.

Yes..I remember someone with saying she was wrapped in a blanket backstage before going because of the jabs making her feel cold.. But anytime Amira has been under the weather at the time of a performance she is a true professional and trooper, she never gives an under performance. She has postponed performances a few times when really sick rather than perform.

Thank you for playing both the aria and the music from the film The Mission. Both pieces are abridged for time constraints, but most reactors overlook the aria. Amira has a wide repertoire including opera, classic crossover, musicals, hymns, etc. She was 13 then and is 20 now.

Okay.. to hear Amira's voice without all the orchestra backup, here's two beauties of hers for you.. Gesu Bambino. When You wish Upon a Star... Just accompanied by her father..the first Gesu Bambino in an empty church on the organ - playing quietly. The second for an online concert he accompanies her on piano. Her voice clear as a bell in both!

Amira - in American English, "Ahmeerah" - was 13 here. It was in December, 2017 about a week before she and her mother and her brother emigrated from The Netherlands to Potchefstroom, South Africa. She had just had her innoculations, and was not feeling the best - but it did not show in her performance. You are quite correct, "My love" is the Sarah Brightman version of "Gabriel's Oboe" by Ennio Morricone, from the film "The Mission". Amira's voice has "Squillo" (I suggest that you look it up) which was very evident here.

@dafyddllewellyn6636 I'm confused by your insistence that Your Love is Gabriel's Oboe. Your Love is the lyrics version of the Once upon a time in the west theme. Gabriel's Oboe is the tune used for Nella Fantasia. Both tunes by Morricone, but two different films.
