Guess you are NOT afraid of heights. Would not find me anywhere up on those roofs. Really love your videos, can only imagine having a log cabin to live in. The Amish near us in Lancaster PA don't build many log cabins. Lots of barns, no cabins. Thanks for sharing the videos.

These folks are such craftsmen and hard workers and the homes show it. The logs are beautiful but the dimensional lumber seems flawless. You won't find any 2X6s etc like those beauties at a big box store. What a wonderful location and project. Thanks for the videos...

Hi Elvie. You're doing an amazing job on your new home. Can hardly wait to see the finished product. Also, if you can, I wouldn't mind you doing a video where you talk about your hand. Or at least give the subject some honorable mention in an upcoming video. I think your story may help to keep others from making a similar mistake; if a mistake is what caused the accident? Or at a bare minimum, tell us all how the healing process is progressing please. I can see you still are wearing a different glove on that hand so it's clear it may not be healed up yet. Hope that process is going along well in any case. Thanks for doing these videos. You guys do great work.

I will try to give an update on my hand in the next few weeks when I do a Q&A video. We are releasing the first Q&A hopefully later this week and then I can address it. But my hand is at about 90% so I’m very thankful.

Just thinking your place might be excellent for a wind mill energy power .... Beautiful Sky Country Home
@AmishMeadowsOfficial4 жыл бұрын
We don’t have much wind here. The Kootenai Valley surrounding Libby Montana is said to be the least wind of any location in the 50 states. So a windmill would not work here.

@@AmishMeadowsOfficial yet it blew some of your roofing off. I'm jealous, a gorgeous dream house.

Dana Skubic lol good point. I live here and it only gets that windy about once a year! Crazy I know. But it’s windless 99% of the time.

Very nice home going to be. I just don't like spray insulation. Would choose some other/better solution for my own home, if the day comes that I have the ability to make the purchase.
@AmishMeadowsOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Foam is far superior to fiberglass. In my experience it is the best roof insulation that you can use.
@triciasklodowske56534 жыл бұрын
Tony isn't wearing his safety harness !!! Why not take the insulation up to the top of the rafter's ?? Would give you a higher R value. Love that spray insulation stuff. Love your home. It's all coming together very nicely. Stay safe and warm. God bless

when you have to harvest trees do you do any replanting
@michellelindsay57274 жыл бұрын
Why doesn’t the insulation go all the way to the edge of the roof. Wouldn’t it decrease with the problems of the icing that occurs and the build up of ice and water under the shingles?
@MikeyB_19724 жыл бұрын
I’m curious as to what the R-value is in the roof system? What’s the name of the spray-in insulation?

If I were a betting man I'd lay good money that you're chomping at the bit to move in. I doubt I'd have many takers.
