On what basis do you say this? Some of his contribution to india: 1. Education, Science and Technology ( IITs, IIMs, ISRO, Indian Institute of Medical science, UGC) 2. Land reforms (abolition of zamindari system). Enhancing quality of food grains, irrigation projects etc. 3. Parliamentary democracy, establishment of election commission and other democratic institutions. 4. Concept of five year plan and establishment of planning commission - to promote economic development 5. Sound foreign Policy - Non alignment initiative during cold war to strengthen foreign relations. 6. Infrastructural development - bhilai steel plant, bakhra Nangal dam, Atomic energy establishment/babha atomic research center, Bokaro steel plant etc 7.indus water treaty Now If you claim he is incapable of running a country, You have to prove with strong evidence that that india didn't see growth under his leadership.

@svgops2001 I saw the discussion of tejeswi Surya in the parliament which you were referring to.. 1. In that speech I didn't find strong evidence to prove that india didn't progress under Nehru's leadership. 2. He mentioned about achievements of CSIR, ISRO and other scientific institutions. Yes our country has the capability to produce great minds and we should be proud of that. It very true that our nation is great. Again that doesn't prove that Nehru is incapable as leader 3.He mentioned about non-proliferation treaty which happened after Nehru's death.. and India is a nuclear power today. It's great that we have strong defence. When it comes to Nehru. At his time it was necessary to show to the world that India is a peace loving country and it is mainly focused on development after getting independence. This global perception did strengthen foreign relations..Having said that Nehru emphasized on global disarmament and not only Indian disarmament and pushed for standstill agreement at global level. Again this contradicts your statement - Nehru villain of peace.

Nehru didn't do anything for this country. UN was willing to give permanent member ship but he didn't go for it. Nepal wanted to merge with India but nehru didn't agree. They wanted to handover guru Dev, chandershekhar Azad to Britishers and also subash Chandra Bose who is real hero and he literally fought for freedom.
