Rather it's good that such things are being highlighted instead of being hidden from public knowledge, more awareness is the only way to resolve things. It was his only song that had something to do with south india.....also the film features Prithviraj Sukumaran.. Maybe this whole idea was by the producers and not the composer himself... Of course now he has the V album , Sye Ra Narasimha Reddy , and the 4 Queen remakes... And Dreamum Wakupum is a great song...A song that is celebrated... And it was a pre-recorded event if you haven't noticed...

Actually no, that instrument used in Sound of Punjab are called "Alghoza" and it is traditionally used by Baloch, Saraiki, Sindhi and Punjabi folk musicians. ❤️

If you notice most (almost all i guess) of the songs are before 2017. Because after 2016-2017 the music quality in Bollywood reduced drastically (and it is just shit tbh). And youtube is one of the things to be blamed for this. Because companies like T Series just saw which songs were getting most on youtube (which were mostly cheap (sounding) songs (especially because now everyone could afford internet)) and started producing similar type of songs and that too over and over again. And thats why tony kakkar, neha kakkar etc rose so much. Like they started putting neha kakkar in every freakin song irrespective of if her voice suited that song or not. But before that (ie before 2016-2017) the singers were chosen based on the song (ie if the voice of the singer suits the song) and also (before 2016-2017) there was just so much (different) variety of songs too (and not just only typical Punjabi songs (being 'played(/produced)' everywhere), like (it was) after 2016-2017) (and just so catchy and good sounding music). Also remaking almost any song they could think of (and that too making just cheap and similar sounding remakes) even if the song didnt require any remake (like for ex das bahane was already a very modern (ie modern sounding) song (like mostly before 2016-2017, only very old songs were remade and the remakes were also very nice sounding and not cheap remakes which sound all the same like todays time). So there was no need to remake it. Similarly there was no need to remake masakali or twist song. And remaking Shamur's Let the music play was literally just crossing the line (had paar karna, as we say in Hindi)) was another pandemic that plagued Bollywood (saying Bollywood wont be fair. It was just mostly T Series) after 2016-2017. Honey singh was the real guy who produced amazing (amazing sounding) music. And all of his songs sounded so different and unique. Like he didnt just reproduce same type of music again and again if it got hit (ie milking a song(/'music style) if it got hit) like todays artist do - ie they produce same type of songs again and again if just one such song got hit (Tanshiq Bagchi is the best example for this. He makes all similar and cheap sounding remakes (and I think he did that after aakh maare got very hit) with all those cheap clapping sounds in every song, and he thus ruins the song by making its cheap remake). But after his (Honey singh's downfall after like 2015-2016), he just vanished and it paved the way for artists like Guru Randhava and Neha Kakkar.
