Story 1: Yeah, this guy was a complete idiot and hopefully he lost custody of his kids and got a hefty prison sentence for this. After 9/11, pilots and flight attendents don't mess around, and you definitely can't be making those kinds of comments or threats. I feel a little bit bad for those kids.... having that guy as a dad. Story 2: Why is always new bosses that come in and have to ruin things for everyone here? Even worse on a college hire that seemed to not know much about how things were here. Also, does this dumb manager not realize that cameras are everywhere? Too bad she didnt get a fine from the cops. Least the OP is out of that crappy job and hopefully that manager eventually gets fired from the higher-ups over everything. Story 3: No way is the OP a jerk here, the wife sure is though. The son was invited to go to Disney world by his friend and their family, so why tell him he can't go solely because the sister can't? It really does sound like the mom wants to punish the son here over this, and that she also favors the daughter here. Sometimes life isn't fair that way. Why punish the son and tell him he then can't go on a family trip to "even the score"? The wife/mom here just flat out sucks. Story 4: I think the mom is being selfish here, not the OP. If you want to be cremated over being buried, then that is entirely up to you, and you have a will too. If your mom doesn't like it, well, too bad. OP has no reason to apologize here, and the mom is really being overdramatic here. Seems like she only cares about herself and not the OP. OP should limit contact with the mom here i think. Story 5: Yeah, the OP was certainly a jerk at first here, but overall, the biggest jerk here, hands down, is the sister. She was stealing from the OP and the wife, trashing the place and overall being a complete nuisance. I'm surprised the police weren't involved here with everything she stole here. She really should consider herself lucky here.... and to a smaller extent, the OP should too. I wouldn't blame the wife if she left the OP after all of this. At least things seemed to work out in the end for everybody, but the OP does need to tread lightly for a while i think.
