The way that guy insults college students, saying they're lazy, it's just absurd. He probably watched too many movies depicting the "college life" using the party animal stereotype, when college students are anything but lazy. Sure, there are probably a handful who don't take it too seriously, or have a habit of procrastinating, but the majority of them are very hardworking since they need at least a part time job just to help pay for college.

For reals I worked a full time job, full college course schedule all years. There were times I would be up for 3 days just cuz I had work and deadlines. Those 20 minute power naps were the best sleep I ever got though. But probably more out of necessity. Lol. Missed 80% of the family functions for a year my last year just cuz I worked full time and had papers due every week and only 2 full days off to write them and I knew if I go with the family it would be hours before I could get back if that

Stephen said the only reason he wasn't higher up was because he didn't have a college degree. With an attitude like that, I suspect that even _with_ a college degree he would not have gone far. For one, stating that he'd give more hours if you went out with him--that's not just skeevy and sketchy, that's textbook _quid pro quo_ sexual harrassment (at least it is in the state where I work). I'm not surprised at all that he went to jail over everything that happened here. Interesting to see that Eliza was still doing well years later. Guessing that maybe this incident was the kick in the pants she needed to start taking her work more seriously.
