Opportunities always come mixed with some challenges. I think the present Indian government is competent to manage both. Thanks for a fine summary of what lies in future.

US may not sell their fighter jets to India because of the S400 defense system. The same reason they kicked turkey of the deal. Due to radar signature security compromise issue.
@Southofhimalayas5 күн бұрын
I think turkey bought f35 jets then after they bought s400 This type of combination of selection ledu to sactions against turkey But India purchasing f16s even with s400 is a possibility

We signed a deal with Russia for S400, which appears to have showed no effectiveness in Iran. Now we lost a chance of getting F-35 from US.
@___Anakin.Skywalker4 күн бұрын
@@noahpattar78 it's ok you can buy su57 That's the problem is with they are double faced. You can't buy f35 and at the same time buy s400 from Russia lol
@ravanabrahma12294 күн бұрын
@@noahpattar78 India would not buy F35 even if we could, because they are very expensive for us to afford and if we managed to buy, we could buy only in small numbers, that they will be inefficient in combat.

I theory, India is better off using non-US fighters, though helicopters and transport aircrafts from US is becoming a mainstay in Indian defense. C-295 will be a cheaper contender though. The main benefit could be the GE engines which has seen significant delays impacting Tejas M1A. If Trump can close the Russia-Ukraine war, oil prices might also drop.

Let me tell u H1B not a problem anymore. All top US companies have captive center here in India. And they pay good salaries compared to service based companies. H1b only useful for those who just want to enhance their social status. Post covid salaries of all IT employees almost doubled in India.
@Goaldigger7355 күн бұрын

@doomguy6335 күн бұрын
That’s just not true. Not everyone on H1B is a service company worker. H1B is the lifeline for all students who go to the US and then hope to build a career by working in the companies. Please try to do some more research about this topic before spouting someone else’s conclusions. Source: I am living in the US on H1B, and I came here as a student. Also, wanting a better, more dignified life for yourself can also be looked at as having better standards for yourself. Not everyone cares about social status. Please don’t talk on behalf of everyone.

5:30 - 10:30 ... Defence acquisitions. But why? What is with all this increased armaments? Yeah, yeah, I know India is worried about China and Pakistan. But the arms race is just a figment of conflict paranoia, of being "attacked". Modiji could save much of that expense by making better friends with its neighbours and signing long lasting non-aggression pacts. MUCH CHEAPER ... and much more yogic. Modi should enact more his spiritual philosophy into the political spheres.
