Grains are large inside the earth's crust because of slow cooling rate and above the earth's crust cooling rate is faster due to wind and water vapours hence results in a fine grain structure. This is a core concept of all cooling and solidification process. Mechanical engineering students might understand it easily. 👍 Your video is informative. Thank you very much sir 🙏

In the above slide it is mentioned that magma is the root cause for occurrence of minerals, so why or how do we find different minerals in earth crust ??? why dont we get same mineral everywhere ??? is der variations in magma composition ???
@amitsengupta01
@amitsengupta01 6 жыл бұрын
+Snigdha Singh Because it then reacts with other elements that are present in water, atmosphere and not to forget with right amount of temperature conditions various kind of mineral crystals are formed. And yes temperature variation is an important reason behind any chemical reaction. Increase in temperature increases reaction rate.
@vijaysolanki197
@vijaysolanki197 6 жыл бұрын
Snigdha Singh Good question Just Deposition of megma is not important for formation of minerals there are many reasons which affects the formation of rocks like slope, temperature, pressure, water, time etc. Like take one example if plant and animal deposit at any place and after due to hear and pressure it convert in to coal again if the pressure and heat is increasing with time coal will convert into diamond due to metamorphism again due to more heat and pressure with time it convert in to new mineral from diamond... Like wise mineral is different

one question about dynamic morphism: suppose this is a rock : ● ,now if i break it into 4 chunks i get four pieces: • • • • now my question is : does my breaking of this rock change their molecular arrangement? if yes then can this be called dynamic metamorphism? (i.e simply breaking a rock) if no. kindly xplain . pls
@amitsengupta01
@amitsengupta01 7 жыл бұрын
+udita Raw Look the important aspects of metamorphism is extreme heat and pressure. That's what changes the shape and structure of a rock. But simply applying force enough to break it doesn't mean you changed the molecular structure. You basically broke the rock Into 4 parts, the molecules are separated. Now those individual parts are separate rocks with a structure different from original form.

Amit Sengupta yes and its like if i have a big green saree, and if i chop it 20 percent, that doesnt changes the fibres/ textile ( molecular structure in this case) of the saree.

Sir amazing video, Question: So, If all the Volcanoes becomes dormant would there be no rocks formation? Just a thought?
@amitsengupta01
@amitsengupta01 7 жыл бұрын
+sagitait Riddhi Rocks are formed due to magma. So even if you close the volcanoes or they become dormant, magma flows inside the crust as well, that won't stop. That's why when you dig more in depth you will find rocks.
