You failed to mention that there are manufacturers' warnings against Blazer 115 gr 9mm FMJ and Federal American Eagle 9mm FMJ being shot through ported barrels and some compensators. In spite of the "FMJ" lable, these are plated bullets, not jacketed. The ports/comp openings can and have shaved off slivers of the plating and thrown them back at the shooters and adjacent people. FYI, Herters brand ammo is 100% manufactured by Winchester and is identical to Winchester white box. The Herters rounds even have the Winchester head stamp on the casing. I like seeing your ammo price reports for comparison to our Texas pricing and availability. Thank you.

A lot of you say don't buy from stores, buy online. Some of us live in states that don't allow onlines sales of ammo. If you live in such a state you aren't allowed to go too a neighbor state and buy ammo and bring it back. Another thing you can do is reload. Component prices are up same as ammo, but still much cheaper than ammo. I can buy bullets, cases and lead to cast bullets online. Have to buy powder and primers local if you can find what you need. If you are on friendly terms with gun ranges around you, you can get brass from them fairly cheap and not go on a government list to get it. Casting your own bullets is not very expensive. Price of a bullet mold and a lead pot might cost a few hundred but for the price of buying the lead and electrcity to run the pot you can make bullets for pennies per each. Say $.05 for abullet, $.10 for a primer and depending on the load $.10- $.35, if loading your once fired brass which is free, total $.25-$.50 each shot. So that box of 9mm that cost you $35 or more you can load for $12.50. larger calibers cost more and jacketed bullets cost a lot more. Buying ammo in stores or online can be easily traced to figure out what and how much you have. Buying components they may know you are buying stuff but they cant figue out what ammo you are making or how much you are making.

I like Bass Pro Shops, but they (& other retailers) can be expiensive. But they typically have it in stock when you need it! Online stores seem cheaper, until you factor in the shipping and wait times. So its a draw. A good deal is where you find it! And Knowing the current prices of your prefered ammo is the most important thing! All in all, ammo prices are still UP, compared to the Republican years! Lets vote to make Ammo Cheap Again!

Not surprising to see these ridiculous prices Bass/Cabelas stores. Everything is marked at MSRP including the guns. I have been buying through various internet sites at much more acceptable prices. Unfortunately, prices have been driven up by people going crazy buying in major quantities. The ammo and gun industries have made and continues to make a bundle of money as a result of the demand created by many influential KZbinrs that have joined the industry while getting paid for it therefore, driving the prices up. I have seen a trend now before the elections creating some panic to drive sales up again. It's sickening what's happening as a result. Thanks for sharing

Dunhams ammunition prices are ridiculous also. 50$ for 20rds of 300BO.. 35, 40 okay. 50$ they can keep it lol

In middle Georgia,, ammo has still not recovered from Obama.. Our ammo shelves around here have been pretty much bare since 2020 for sure.. even reloading supplies are practically unavailable.
