if anyone out there is really hurting.. after you collect your brass.. reloading via re-pulled de-milled parts is actually very cheap and , if ur reloading, u actualy by nature are truly creating match grade loads, just by doing it by hand and paying attention.. my winters up here are spent reloading..aka snowed in times.. watching youtube and reloading.. american reloading company does a great job with reloading.. plus lots of used good stuff out there..

I can’t emphasize enough how cheap it is to reload compared to buying factory. Yes, there’s a startup cost, and yes component prices have also significantly increased. But.. when you can reload 77 grain 5.56 for .35 a round, and 6.5 Grendel for about .45, it pays off. And you’re shooting much better quality than the factory Lowest cost ammo. And if you really want to get the cost per round down, load FMJ bullets and knock .10 off per round. (Assume brass is free for all but rarer round like Grendel) For components, you just have to buy sale items and find no hazmat shipping deals.

if you can reuse brass, thats key, if you are buying brass, better off buying. also if your time is valueable. That said, I am a reloader! @eaglereloads if you wanna check that out.

no, Ammunition Depot has free shipping on cases. I always look for free shipping when possible.

It does not matter how cheap on-line retailers are, but by the time you add in shipping cost, shipping insurance, its cheaper to by local. Even with free shipping sometimes, its still cheaper to buy locally at least in my city.

@@ACommenterOnKZbin that’s great! For me it’s best to stack a free shipping code with a deal or special and not have to go to 2-3 stores. I don’t mind paying shipping sometimes even to have it delivered and not have to run erands.

@@EagleRun23 Locally its 20 cents a round for 9mm and 6 cents a round for 22LR which can't be beat on-line plus where i get my ammo its only 4 miles away. i stopped buying 5.56 and above yrs ago.

In my area that's true. A thousand round case of S&B, Blazer and Magtech 45 acp at Sportco Warehouse is only about 10 dollars more than lucky gunner online when you factor in insurance and shipping.

31 cents per round is expensive. i pay 20 cents a round for 9mm and 6 cents a round for 22LR locally. NO-WHERE on line can beat that price even with free shipping. and i wont buy Winchester, its DIRTY ammo, that crap leaves a cloud of dust after every shot.

Yea more talk of buying ammo now at still ridiculously high prices for fear it might be gone soon, but many people are not buying because budgets are tight and they have to look out for families first in an economy where inflation is actually sitting close to 20-22% in real terms there's simply no money for many working guys to buy this over priced stuff. Part of what keeps these prices so high is people willing to pay the insane prices for this ammo. Reload and let this factory stuff sit, get a bunch of friends together order in bulk and save.

@EagleRun23 Absolutely, I don't think a majority of average Joe shooters have the coin to panic buy. Competitive shooters who dedicate money to shooting might but a guy who shoots occasionally only knows what channels like yours informs them of...prices, when it's good or bad and what to be on the look out for. All of things are great info!

Well KZbin channel God Family & Guns is another quack that has been saying ammo prices are going to sky rocket and he has been saying this for 3 straight years and ammo prices have NOT sky rocketed. 3 other YT channels had these fake official papers saying due to a shortage on "x" that is used to make ammo, prices will rise by 30%. This was over a yr ago. Prices are still the same.

never once said shortage! Prices are still down. over last 2 years I have graphs and charts but you probably couldnt read them. If you dont agree with the ammo investment thats fine, I am super glad I have a few cases of 6.5 creedmoor that i paid 1 a shot for in 2014. Ill be glad I ordered another case this year for under $2. I be even happier if I bought a case in 2008 when it was 80 cents a shot and everyone thought it was too expensive.
