At Norma they use 24" barrel for all standard calibers and 26" barrel for magnums. It is stated in their website. So your 60 fps drop is pretty normal from a 22" barrel although sometimes I have seen nearly no loss with some of their loaded ammunition, unlike other manufacturers. I am getting 2903 fps average (only 7 fps SD) with the.7x64 160 gr TIpStrike out my X-bolt SF Hunter II Montecarlo (left handed) with 22" barrel. They claim 2920 from 24". Great cartridge/bullet combination especially for boars and fallows out to 350 yards for sure. Cheers.

Hey Pete, on ( but slightly sideways ) topic, have you tried or managed to get your hands on the new Peregrine monolithic factory ammo yet ? Seems to be producing some interesting FPS results across the different calibers .

Not got any in yet, but have got access to the bullets and am working with a friend to do a video, hopefully I can get some ammo later.

I’ve watched your review on the B14 Timber and at the moment I’m considering either the B14 Sporter Green 22” CM or the new B14 Crest 20” 6.5 CM .

joeetling - why do you say that? I have no experience with this ammo on game but so far on paper it's incredibly accurate in 3 Tikka rifles: 2 in 300WM and one in 6.5CM. I intend to hunt with it this coming weekend
