I love these old videos. They're so well made for what they are, and they explain everything without missing an iota of relevant information. Not like the powerpoint slides of today.

JeepWranglerIslander indeed! I say, let's start using films in this style in schools again! i myself am a student and i fund this video very entertaining AND informative! if we replaced powerpoint-presentations in school today with films like these, we'd save alot of time that would otherwise go to explaining the powerpoint and whatnot, and that time could be used to help people who didn't get one specific part or so, and people would learn more and faster! jesus, jeepie, you're a genius! :D

There is something about this type of old videos, not sure if it is the formal manner in which things are presented but it makes me feel I have to pay attention. Interesting in any case.

I wonder if these films are still used in the military. I mean it explains it pretty much perfectly.

These old videos are always the best at explaining things so that they're really understandable. There's a really good one about how differentials work.

I must be getting old. Used to hate these monotone videos in school as a kid but now I find them entertaining and full of information. Lol.

The claim at ~@18:09 or so is not true. Blow back firearms skip the lock and unlock steps. They even showed one such gun early in the video as an example of a simpler firearm.

Thanks for the video, clear and in an orderly manner, instructing with real clarity. I have a young nephew that wants to learn about guns and this video (and I'm sure the others) will be a huge help in explaining a lot to him in a way that will demystify guns to him. This sort of instruction is priceless, as a lot of folks get the video information far better then reading it. The interaction of explanation and demonstration give them a better understanding of the dynamics of the action with better retention and understanding. This is the sort of information that teaches instead of confusing a new learner of the actions and operations of the gun.

I wish I saw this years ago when I was a newbie. Trigger groups and bolts would have been so much easier to understand, especially on the old milsurps I was messing with.

I saw this video 5 or 6 years ago. I was doing a project for a high school engineering class... This video (a few excerpts really) made up part of my presentation. Brings back memories. :-) Most of them bad! haha. Great work on the audio by the way. It is so much easier to understand. Thank you for posting it!

Wow, I just finish watching all 3 parts to this great info clip. This info was fantastic and the best I have seen in a while. For the most part they still show these types of films but I got a lot of info from this three, that I which I could save them and share them as needed. Thanks tot he folks that posted this, and maybe you could start a channel with just great old training films that still work.
