Most underrated part of this video was your music choice. It's a detailing video, which is more relaxing than a repair video, so having a relaxing soundtrack in the back is just super nice compared to a lot of people who will tend to put some rock 'n' roll or metal over their car videos. Great work!
@mikebel743 жыл бұрын
“Unravel the bird’s nest in your head.” Brilliant! I totally agree. Attention to detail will do that. I love these videos, whether bringing an old Mercedes Benz back to life, or a Doodlebug, or a multi million dollar hypercar. You make the internet shine, like we all hoped it would in the beginning.

Larry, I’ve seen this in a few other videos, when you are loosening lug bolts/nuts try not to pull up on the breaker bar when loosening. It’s a recipe for potential hernia. You always want to push on any fastener to try and break it loose. Just think about when your torque them back on. Same thing just opposite direction.
@MadeInGefle3 жыл бұрын
That's clever!
@SerenaBluee2 жыл бұрын
And also go slowly and smoothly with the torque wrench and stop as soon as it clicks, not like 15 degrees afterwards.
@monsterbaby69622 жыл бұрын
Or you add an extender or pipe over breaker bar to give you more length/leverage. Far easier and low risk of injuring oneself.

Got to pick up one of those eraser wheels for a drill on Amazon. Works really well on getting the stuff left on the rim from stick on wheel weights and I haven’t spotted any damaged from using it. I’ve also cleanly removed pinstripes with it where my plastic blade would leave scratches. I’m sure it would help with the badge adhesive too!

I did some detailing for with a friend a while back. We used the same compounds and machines ( Blue/yellow Rupes compound, same blue/yellow pads) ( and many more ) When we used this combination, we got small swirls, even after the yellow pad, which was not seen with the ( not regular) LED Lights, but with the phone LED. Don't ask me why but you can only see it with the phone's LED Light. Next time when you polish with the yellow pad and the yellow compound, shine your phone's led on it and see for yourself, do the 50/50 trick. The paint with the regular LED light looked great. It was essential in finding these swirls. We then used another compound which was in a Sprayable container, we sprayed it on a white pad. ( I cannot remember which one ) This white pad with the sprayable compound made the paint perfect. It removed those small swirls. I love these videos. Thank you for bringing back memories.
