@Sunedosa2 жыл бұрын
Of course but that's a given, never said that it was something they intended. But something as simple as a tarp would have kept it in better shape to a certain degree. If it was an old bug or a volvo 142 it would have been more understandable. The Espada however retailed at $21 k , the internet says as much as 3 Porsche 911's retailed for back then. Then again the Espada might be the rich man's old volvo, who knows ? Doesn't make any of it less sad anyway.

Just doing the interior was an epic achievement, but your willingness to tackle the exterior is NEXT LEVEL!, I recently got a low mile Equinox with around 19,000 miles, so it is really nice condition. I plan on perusing your store and getting some of your stuff, just a giving back thing for all the effort you put in. I just want to acknowledge how hard you guys work and how skilled you have to be in many disciplines to do what you do. I used to own a shop called Automotive Grooming in San Rafael, CA in the 1970s. We did restorations on classic cars and boats and regular detailing. I had a chemist that made our waxes and the only complaint I ever had was from a woman with a Jaguar XJ6 that was white, that it hurt her eyes because it was just too shiny. Hard but gratifying work. Kudos to you all.

Kind of a rule of thumb to not use high pressure water on these cars, and power washing is a definite no no. You probably caused more long term damage with all the water that has gotten into hidden places. Some of the worst condition Ferraris I have come across are the ones that got washed excessively -- lots of hidden rust and corrosion. Owners meant well but had no clue they were creating long term problems.
