He released the best jazz album of the last year, likes Ed Motta, javanese traditional music, anime and he's always trying to be a positive influence for kids and everyone that comes in touch with him... Such a great person. I admire him a lot.

Jazz fans all over the world are praising this man ! I know that jazz isn't for everyone, it never was...but when the jazz bug bites you can't get enough of it...Watch all the old videos of Roland Kirk, Ornette Coleman, Sonny Stitt etc. and you see men who function on a whole other level ....Kamasi is on that journey !

Oh gamelan man, one of my favorite styles of ethnic music... At first it goes everywhere and you think "is this like jazz" ? But there is 0 improv, it's all rehearsed like crazy until perfection. It's mostly intrumental, and the bell-like sounds hooked me to it. It's long tracks, psychedelic, with breaks, climax, it's a bit like post rock in a way, very hypnotic post rock.

One of the dudes I wish I would have met or grew with, along with DEL, to share music and good old school fighting video games times. Real artists are hard workers on their thing but they stay open-minded on different inspiration sources. People like that make you want to play music too as they cherish the beauty and fun of life.
