I know the particular example did bring up younger, but I don't particularly see the weirdness of it on the later stage if you only mention siblings tbh, even despite I'd never be the one to do it. Don't people say that all the time to two people, even outside the internet? "You're like siblings" I guess you only do that when you mean the relation of siblings when they're young, but I never really saw it that way, and it almost makes me think that thinking it's weird is KINDA weird. I guess I haven't been part of the community that makes those comparisons to see how truly weird they are because it just seemed like he was ranting over some comment that wasn't trying to overcorrect but making a simple analogy. I would have never related it to shipping if he hadn't said it, and it didn't even occur to me for it to being connected to aroace either. Idk, felt out of nowhere.
