However, if Kara had been paying attention enough - she would have 100% known it was Janet since even though she was swooped, it showed Janet's color and gave away that Janet was the one who killed. I think colors on for kills makes it overpowered, because even though they got it right in the end, if Kara had been paying enough attention, it would have made Janet unable to get away from the kill accusation.

You're right though, if Kara were to be paying closer attention she would've seen a blue arrow which would give Janet away as the killer. I do feel like that's overpowered since the whole point of the Swooper is to be hidden and imperceptible for crewmates, it would have sucked for Janet to lose for being discovered that way.

I was pretty neutral on the colored aurial arrows before but they being able to see swooper is pretty bullshit, I think. Lucky Kara didn't notice, else it would be a very annoying end for the game. This might be more of an issue of the role seeing kills as well as ability triggers though. I kinda feel it would make more sense if it was just the latter.

Like, the investigator would still be clued in of the swooper existence by the footstep trial vanishing suddenly, but it wouldn't be as obvious as footsteps that appear from nowhere at least.

Chat is displayed so we can see what is being discussed at all times but she has it minimized when she is alive. Chat isn’t helping her because she isn’t reading it. Janet does the same thing on her stream.

Dk didn't actually have a medic shield, he had the green shield (which is visible for everyone) and as the commentor above me said, it's given to those who died first on the previous game to avoid them being targeted or being killed again first round again.
