There were allegations of sexual and emotional abuse against him by his ex-girlfriend. After an investigation (in which said ex refused to participate) by AMC during which he was removed from their show, he was eventually reinstated since nothing indicated that these claims were true. His previous partners and his current wife vouched for him, saying they were never mistreated in any way by him, and while some claim that they could associate emotional abuse with his character, they were anonymous claims that didn't really lead anywhere. Some accused him of blacklisting his ex and those that cross him, but I doubt it's anything serious. Another thing that later came up was the fact that his ex was cheating on him, leading to him breaking up with her, giving her a motive. As for Critical Role, the character was pronounced officially dead due to the whole ordeal and they didn't associate themselves with him anymore which I find pretty sad. I personally believe he's innocent, he's a funny, energetic guy who knows how to build a good character. But hey, what can you do, it's all in the past now and there's nothing we can do about him.

The more I watch CR, the more I'm impressed with the artistic talents of the Critter community. Everybody who has submitted art never ceases to impress me, and the talents you all have is something to behold. And what I love the most is that it isnt just cool combat poses or general looks you all put out, but several times now, you guys have captured moments that are moments of sorrow, of sadness, even death. It is these depictions that tear and pull at the hearts of everyone, new and old, that has experienced these moments of tragedy, of life and death. It is these moments that make for beautiful story-telling, and for the community to give these moments a perspective shown through visual artistry, it makes the story that much more compelling, and makes the events that transpire with these PCs have that much more depth. It is one reason, of many, why I keep watching these episodes of CR, and why, notwithstanding my own personal issues, I have laughed and cried, felt joy and sorrow. And if stories tell us anything, they remind us, again and again, of what life can be, and how full it is -- if we simply and merely pay attention to what is around us. It shows us that no matter where we find ourselves, there is always a reminder of what it means to actually live, and to show us that everything in life we could ever work for or hope for, we can achieve and accomplish. As I've heard it said: Fortuna faveat fortibus, semper fidelis. Thank you, Critters, for displaying your works of artistic talent. You guys are amazing.

Since he's not using it Scanlan should give that Ioun Stone to Percy. With his Magic Initiate feat he has only one 1st lvl spell slot per long rest, so it could quadruple his hex output. He'd just have to remember to store his hexes every day whenever he doesn't use them. Also I think that Stone can store and cast spells from anybody, not just the wearers, so it could actually be ridiculously versitile and useful. Edit because I found this discription: "Any creature can cast a spell of 1st through 3rd level into the stone by touching it as the spell is cast. The spell has no effect, other than to be stored in the stone. [...] While this stone orbits your head, you can cast any spell stored in it. The spell uses the slot level, spell save DC, spell attack bonus, and spellcasting ability of the original caster, but is otherwise treated as if you cast the spell." Holy shit this thing is awesome. It's a shame they don't use it like... at all.

Spell storing items are almost always underutilized which is good because the moment people realize it gets really annoying quickly by how op it it. 3rd levels to non spell casters. There's even some decent 2nd and 1ST level spells that are nice. Free spell slots even low level isn't bad either. Imagine a 3rd level cure wounds or healing word on a non healer that's free hp pots stored during downtime. 3 lvl 1 healing spells is basically 3 revives

I don't know how that critter got that the tidal wave would only contain 125 gallons of water. The wave is 30 feet long, 10 feet tall and 10 feet wide according to the spell description. That would be 3,000 cubic feet of water. There are about 7.5 gallons per cubic foot so that would be 22,500 gallons of water. Even if we're only talking the water in one space (as in the specific amount of water hitting each elemental) that's still 5 feet long, 10 feet tall and 10 feet wide which would be 500 cubic feet, coming in at 3,750 gallons. So TL:DR, that tidal wave should instantly one-shot ANYTHING weak to water.

Percy is on fire......matt is really really nice. Hes carrying gunpowder. being on fire should be really really bad

The pouch where he keeps the ammo is fire resistant... Duhhh

And all the candles should have lighten up! So that would be fucking terrible!

For the sake of simplicity, almost every fire effect in D&D specifies that it doesn't ignite flammable items/clothes if worn or carried. There's just too much fire in the game to keep track of all that without it getting R rated.
@drizzt1022 жыл бұрын
@@JollyGreenWizard Solely for gunpowder, speaking as someone who has always enjoyed flintlock fantasy type settings, I generally do not use this rule for environmental fire/evolutionary fire. Evolutionary is like a creature that naturally breathes fire (this includes red dragons of course) or fire elementals. If a wizard is casting fireball, yeah I'm willing to fiat/handwave a level of "I'm not trying to cause an explosion beyond the one I am in direct control of here." Though if the PCs want to open that door and start trying to use gunpowder that way with their own fire spells, I'll let them, but warn them that the gloves are off at that point. You've decided you want the world to work that way, you have to live with the consequences.

As a DM of 20+ years myself, matt is a very Gentle DM, these guys would of TPK'ed 5 times over if i was their DM, just from running their mouths at NPC's lol.

I've only seen about 10 minutes of Gern, but I've already come to the conclusion that Chris Hardwick is wonderful

Wow... how does it feel to be so completely wrong?

Please explain why he's wrong. I don't know much about these people's actual careers so I honestly don't know.

+Derrick H. Well.(and not to answer for the other guy) Not that I dislike Chris Hardwick, there was moments that he really unnerved me and ruined the experience (there was also fantastic parts) I really hated how he played music over the stream(and continually when they tried to move on) he seemed to take away from others for his jokes. As well the last minutes he made it about him and forced Matt to wrap it up because they couldn't continue the story. That being said it doesn't make him a bad person, just a different type of player I'm not keen too.
@lisarenee35058 жыл бұрын
Well, mainly because Chris Hardwick is an entirely self-absorbed douche - a fact that he himself admits to, BTW - who always has to turn all the attention in the room to himself. He thinks he's funny, but he's more like the "class clown" kid who is just super weird and awkward in the most nerve-grating and entirely uncharming way possible.
@LyokoGirl7208 жыл бұрын
I mean thats really a personal opinion I happen to love Chris Hardwick and his stand-up is pretty great. Secondly I'm just going to choose to believe that in this universes canon all dragonborns just sort of have this type of attitude so far all the ones we have really seen tend to have some unusual behaviors and attitudes.

@@MidgetPally521 -- Yep. Caught-up on Campaign two, and wanted to revisit Campaign one. I'm split. I like some things about the Mighty Nein's campaign more than the first, but I like the characters -- mostly -- better in Vox Machina. I love Grog's wizarding prowess. :) For example. But I like Jester much more than Vex. Vax over Caleb. Split on Scanlon vs Nott. I miss Percy, not a fan of Molly *or* Caduceus. Split on Pike vs Yasha. Fjord's Barbarian-ness, or the lack thereof, is entertaining. I feel a little resentful of Blindspot because of the interference with developing Yasha more. Pike had time to develop before they hit Twitch/KZbin . . . Yasha, not as much. She doesn't feel 'lived-in' as a character yet. Heh heh. Long, needless answer for a simple 'Hey'. :D One of those days.

first the beholder and then the genie. Maybe he should give them a door. Doors, furnuture and elevators are the characters worst enemy. That dancing had me rolling on the floor. and damn when Percy gets going things look grim for the enemy. I love this group sooooo much

The real question: If Grog rolled a natural 20 on arcana, would he have cast raise undead?
@stevenritter87198 жыл бұрын
I was hoping for that to happen.
@OzixiThrill7 жыл бұрын
Grog has quite the excellent memory and it could be reasoned that some magic actually did rub off on him from when he was the phylactery of a lich.
@Mr0Anonymous07 жыл бұрын
Matt didn't ask him to roll without a reason, from a meta perspective.. It makes sense that something absolutely crazy would happen. Love Grog's dabbling in the arcane arts btw :)
@WedgeSkyrocket7 жыл бұрын
Shining Reflection I think it would have been funny if he did roll a nat 20 and Matt was just like, "You have a sudden burst of arcane insight, peering past the veil of mortality. You can do this, you were born for this - Grog the Enchanter. You concentrate with all your might and will the body of your enemy to rise and do your bidding, and... nothing happens, because you didn't prepare any spells today. And also because you're not a caster."

Jordan Barkley Vax is a rogue, you don't have to steal to be a rogue. the only reason vex is seeming to be the main thief of the group so far is because 1, her greed, 2, she really likes to fly....
