@@AngeloMontilla thanks for your interest. Unfortunately the PDF does not meet my needs. Such a pity. I'm evaluating other systems that are more compatible with all platforms, certainly html/css or google forms. I can't force my clients to use Acrobat only on Windows PCs 😅

Your tutorials are great Angelo. I have in the works a project that would end up being a digital press kit and some of the techniques you are using seem like a good fit for this. Do you have any design templates or a workflow for such a project. I think it would be like a Newsletter or magazine for WebPublication but maybe you have some ideas. Thanks for any thoughts.

Love this tutorial! Do you know if there’s a program or way to have this kind of interactivity created within InDesign and have it work within a flipbook environment? Like where you expand the interactivity on page 3 - I created that in InDesign and want it maintained/used in a Simple Booklet/Flipsnack/Issuu type of interface. Do you know if this is possible? Like, best of both worlds.

It's the million-dollar question! I wish there was a platform that would do that. The difference is the flip book platforms operate by uploading PDFs that you can later add interactivity to using the platform's tools. I think the closest thing you're asking about would be in5. This would allow you to produce a fully-functional flipbook created natively in InDesign. However it comes at a significant cost.

@@AngeloMontilla haha, true that! That cost probably isn't an issue for the company I work for, so I'm going to dive into it. Thank you!! Our other option was just to publish as e-books, and have them open in their native book apps. We've reduced printing, and are looking to digitize our brochures instead, and we just feel this interactivity and animation combo is the most ideal, and it's so much more seamless for us designers to use InDesign as much as possible for it, alongside the other Adobe products.

So are you saying I can not embed my magazine on my website if I use their extension? I have a magazine that I embed on my website and that would definitely be an issue.

Hi Shelly. What I went over is how to use the extension's free features. If you want to host the project on your own site, you'll have to get one of the plans. Remember, you always can use InDesign's Publish Online feature, which is free to use. Then you can embed the project anywhere you like. This however, won't be a responsive layout. Hope that helps!

Dear Angelo, I am from Turkey and it seems it doesn't work in my country 😭 I hope I am wrong. I go Windows>Extensions>Webpublication and in the webpublication panel I see Login/Create Account screen. There are 3 options for server which includes France, Argentina and Australia. I tried all of them but unfortunatelly I couldn't use this extension. I request support from Adobe and Webpublication. I am waiting for a reply. Thank you many many times again for your instructive videos. Respects!

Hi Mereyem! I have had similar questions about this extension not working in certain countries. Have you tried all of the available servers? You also have to create a Webpublication account before accessing it. So make sure you're doing that.

You should disclose that a single publication costs $615 or at least $500+ a month plan

Thanks for the comment. My tutorial is based on using their free features for simple web viewing. It's still very useful in terms of getting responsive docs from indesign to online viewing. Of course things will cost money for additional features/hosting. Take care.
