La bella música del que sabe oír y escuchar lo precioso de la vida se plasma en un papel para que sólo las mejores y mas atrevidas voces nos deleiten o nos demos el gusto de rascar el corazón. 👏🏾👏🏾😘☺️

My schools choir preformed this and I've loved it ever since :,)

Ten bucks says that if your singing was capable of turning water into gold that it still wouldn't be good enough for the peanut gallery on KZbin. If any of you were in this choir and you saw all the nitpicking comments on this video, would you care enough to do anything about it? No, because they're comments on a KZbin video where everyone acts like an expert. The recording is what it is, it cannot be changed. It's good music, just enjoy it for what it is.

Beautifully done, and so sad that this ensemble no longer exists. I loved singing in it back in the day, under Chet Alwes.

God, this is amazing. Love the song, and I think this choir does a pretty good job with it.

@Vivaldicellist just as a note, Dr. Stroope conducted this same piece in Tampa, Fl for an all-state choir at the same tempo in 2002

This is so beautiful, it made me cry :) Thank you so much for the music! It's great to know that others out there appreciate as much as I do :)

Can I "like" this more than once????? It's really amazing. We did this piece in my college chamber choir last year, but it was too small of a group, and not nearly as good as this. Bravo.

@matchboxmatt THANK YOU! I'm so over people who think that they know enough to comment on anything... and they probably have the musicality of a cardboard box. You have said this so well! You're my hero too!

Well, I think he was going off the basis that the poem used in writing the piece was by Garcilaso de la Vega whom was a Spanish poet. The Spanish accent would cause it to be "thii" but you're right stating it is the directors preference.

I am fairly certain the part where they say see (ci) is pronounced ''thii"

is this supposed to have piano? I've heard recordings both a capella and with piano but i dont have the sheet music so im just wondering!
@pianist197215 жыл бұрын
Often happens when the piece is essentially a harmonized melody.

The c's are not pronounced like c's they have a light "th" sound like in between a "th" and a "d", the same way for d's. At least that's how we are learning it at the moment.

Too fast for my (and Dr. Stroope's) tastes, based on the tempo marking, but nice sound. I prefer a little more quiet emotional discretion, but the louder parts were nice.

Besides, i prefer it when it's not perfect

They are a little sharp though. Words are wide spread. You have to understand the meaning of the words vs just singing it
@raestar39157 жыл бұрын
Are they pronouncing ci as see? Because if so that's wrong
@gster39112 жыл бұрын
...No, no it's not. It depends on the directors preference.
