I'm just saying that a manager whose had 2 training sessions, key players not fit, and not the players for his system, playing away from home in front of a rough crowd - it's understandable, as long as it improves from here. We obviously wouldn't be happy if we consistently played like that but we're willing to give him a pass for his first game. that's my point.

Yellow cards can be rescinded but the decision has to relate to some other VAR check, like a penalty decision that gets changed.

At this point just axe VAR. It can't overturn second yellows, it can't interfere without reasonable doubt even though doubt in general can be equally unreasonably which is what VAR is there to establish, it can't tell refs if it's a corner or a goal kick if a deflection hasn't been noticed. What's the point in it? It's just a glorified Paint app drawing lines every now and then which wouldn't be needed if the PGMOL allowed semi-automatic offside technology.
