I have grown to love Amorphophallus in recent years and they are enough of a challenge to keep me on my toes but are always rewarding. I make a lot of mistakes in the care but I get so much back. Have you kept any Amorphs? If so which one and which one would you get next?

Nice one. A good collection going there. I just picked up Amorphophallus longituberous in full growth and it's an amazing looking plant. Won't stay up for long but I. am hoping for a fair few tubers. I never do well with Titanium for some reason. I've tried a few times but never seem to be able to maintain them.

I wish I had more space to keep some of those, they look very interesting to grow!

I just started with a little konjac. It's a super easy one to learn with and readily available everywhere these days.

Just had a awful storm, super rainy and 10c at nights. All my sarumatums looks so bad. Feels like early autumn here...

I hear you. It's been an odd battle this summer for me and it helps when I talk to other growers who are having the same issues. I have found so many plants have not wanted to wake up from dormancy and I'm worried now because there isn't enough time in the season to get any weight on the tubers.

@@aroid_artist yep, first few summer months was super dry and hot, now cold and wet, had to take all my amorphophallus inside, didnt want to risk them from rotting. Lost 2 venosum already to rot, and they are in free drainaging soil. Hopefully next week weather looks more promising

While rewatching some of of your videos, i was thinking about something, i would think alot of people would like to hear about: what soil mix you uses for different species, fertilizers and pot sizes. Im so scared to rot mine away, but i now know i should first start with the watering when the leaf is coming up.😅

Fascinating videos. Is your background in art how you're able to understand taxonomy or more so well? You notice true taxonomic details that a normal plant owner wouldn't. I really like aroids and Cycads but my background isn't in botany.

Hello … a very interesting video. I have what I think is Amorphophallus konjac. I’ve grown it for several years and this morning when I went to take it from the paper bag it was stored in it had already grown a huge flower spike…so I’ve just potted it up…. Can anyone tell me what to expect once the flower dies?
