These are winter hardy in my area. A few people posts pics of them blooming from the ground each year. I’m in USDA zone 10a in Florida.

This same is cultivated in kerala as a crop plant... Since its modified root portion is edible.. Amd used in many food items... Especially in south India.. It is commonly called "chena" in Kerala.. ❤️... Today I saw the same for the first time.... And was very much excited... That I took a picture of it... And my mum cooked the bloom... Not the opend one... Its really very smelly...also the corm... If not properly holded... Causes severe itching...

Nice plant hope its about to bloom again, I didn't understand if the flower can pollinated herself or need another bloom from a different plant.

No they can't self-pollinate. In their natural habitat, they need another plant's flower for successful pollination.
