This was session recorded in Kingston, Jamaica and mixed at Herne Hill studios (I still have the other majestic tracks on a Metal Cassette); conceived and produced by Michael Ashley - I simply helped with the string synth overdubs....girls from our shared work place sang the background joyful vocals....just made it back, a bit late, for my own house party one Sat in late August 85/6...too long ago to get the date right - DJ Lunatic Dreyfuss. A top man Michael - to you, Amos Jensen. We both met the great John Peel, who played it regularly - top single in Blues & Soul.

The background singers were me and my sister we are called ‘Burning Illusion’. We went on to also work with The Jams (Ancients of Mu Mu) on a tune that was banned called What the world needs is love. It was banned because we sampled voices like Sam Fox without permission. I remember coming to the studio opposite Brockwell Park. We were so young then. Micheal was a truly brilliant musician for his time. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿😍one love.

@@empressblacksilk Hi Ladies, I remember you in the studio just the one time with Michael giving directions. I heard he was in Starlight Express but not heard a lot about him recently. Love to you all x
