I think that's a 1940 Willys coupe at 6:15. That's about the sexiest-looking car I have ever seen on a drag strip--they look fast even standing still!

Love those old coupes and sedans of the 30's and early 40's.. and the roadsters.. It took a lot of driver restraint and skill to avoid blowing your motor, clutch or rear end back in the day.

An old cowboy once said, "I've been to two county fairs and a public hangin' and I ain't never seen nothing like this." He must've been looking at the ONE horsepower gasser at the 16 second mark!

there ought to be a cause for the 4 doors... i almost bought a 48 Pontiac hot rod 'bout a year ago, what only had the interior parts to install, but my spine got damaged and i got fused from top to bottom, made it too difficult to bend over the fenders, and other flexible stuff like that... the Pontiac was a 4 door... the paint and engine, and everything else was all new and beautiful... i could have gotten it for $4800 dollars! 4 door cars i believe could be real bargain hot rods these days... get 'em while they're still Hot!

I assume the sound was all dubbed in? There's no way every car sounds like 1990's prostocks pulling shifts in Lencos at 9000RPM or Super Pro cars with automatics.

Ok-love what this company did, but one thing though; who won each race? and, why all the editing just to show the start of each race only. I got dizzy towards the end. And what about the pits? Who won?

@spockistheman Obviously much of this was shot with 8mm or at best 16mm film, with no sound. They did a decent job of faking the soundtrack.
