Amós and Zach survive 5 days in the Maine winter. With temperatures soon dropping to -40, they will have to catch food, prepare camp and try to survive. Amós also builds an Ancestral Drum to use in traditional ceremonies.

Hiking and hunting the hills and volcanoes of Central America in the 80’s and 90’s gave Amós Rodriguez a foundation for his ancestral skills life’s practice. Growing up in the context of the U.S. financed civil war in El Salvador increased his urban and wilderness survival and awareness skills; both of which are essential for striving in our modern society.
During the post-war period, Amós assisted rural communities devastated by the violence. These experiences increased his humanism and highlighted the need to be an advocate for secured and regenerative communities.
Amós has been perfecting his craft as a hunter and primitive skills practitioner over the years. He is a humanist, an artist, and a guide. His life intention is to build a better future for the next seven generations.

Great video! Ide love to see you make an African lion roar call video. It's like like a normal drum but has a drum head with a smooth leather cord. When it is pulled the drum head vibrates and sounds like a lion's roar. Ide also love to see a collaboration with you, Zack, and Greg doing a collaborative project together like a cross of Alone and Junkyard Wars. Every person would have access to a collection of 3 piles of discarded items. All piles are the same or equivalent items. Broken bandsaw blades, hay twine netting ,,and wrap will be there as well as rusted, frozen, scrap tools, Pop bottles ect. Each person has to gather the material into one feedbag to make the products needed to survive. After two days anyone can return for more materials. But they have to have a fire and a shelter and water .complete. In the end, everyone will get back together and discuss what materials they took, the tools they made and why?

It is making ice when ya hear the bangs and snaps I’ve lived in New York all my life and fished the st Lawrence river and for the past 30 years I’ve lived in central square ny and fished oneida lake and that noise happens all the time sometimes it makes ya take a deep breath and think but ur fine glad ya had a great time and caught some fish and got some supplies for ur crafts thanks for the video
