Great review. I blind bought this one earlier this year and no regrets whatsoever. One of my favourite Amouage now and very addictive. The only problem is that it is such a beast that I have to decide whether I want to wear it all day (and the next!), even with two or three small sprays to my body it transfers to everything, clothes, pillows etc!

Thanks for the review. Can't stand mint. There are some notes that blow a perfume out of the water for me if these notes are prominent - rose, mint, pineapple (there goes Aventus), apple, mango, grapefruit, cumin, aquatic notes... and more. If they are well blended and can not be detected, I'd be fine with that. I've tried BHM and didn't like it at all. Mint was prominent, and thus it is very cheap smelling to my nose. I do LOVE Bracken Man from the same line. What an outstanding elegant manly scent. Yet to smell Sunshine man. Thanks again.

Loved the way you described it. The great things about scents are the associations you make to memories. For me, it reminds me of every beach holiday I've taken to Goa growing up. Mosty the time spent at the shacks. The small family-run places you can spend the entire day drinking Kings and Kingfisher at. I don't know what gives it that association. For my it's the green aspects of the scent that do it. So imagine an old, beach hut that needs maintenance. Haha. If that makes sense. PS: I believe you meant Ard Al Zaafran instead of Al Haramain.

Sometimes this catches me off guard, and I think I'm wearing Portrayal Man. I'm glad someone else gets a note of violet. Such a green fragrance, bought a bottle the same day my 5ml decant arrived. Great scent!

Mint is hit-or-miss with me, your overall description of this one sounds nice though! Might be worth trying a decant.

You need to try this! It's a super frag and the mint works so well here , I agree sometimes Mint can go pretty wrong. Thankfully Amouage absolutely nail it here
