My search for the ultimate cumin bomb has come to a halt as I'm obsessed with this original spice bomb from Amouage. Thankfully a friend, Dalya who you all know loves and has this one and she brought it over one day and I wore it and really enjoyed it. So in today's video I have my full review for Amouage Fate Man. If you love musky spicy fragrances then you must try Fate Man. Fate Man is dry, smoky, musky and full of cumin so be warned if you have a challenging time with cumin you might not like this one. But if you do then you might really dig it. Are you a fan of Spicy fragrances? Do you like Amouage as a house? And have you tried Fate Man? I haven't tried Fate Man, but I have to say Interlude Man is definitely in my top 2 of all time and I'm excited to try more Amouage fragrances.

Amouage Fate Man sounds like an interesting fragrance. A real aromatic experience with the intense cumin note. I would enjoy cumin how it's done in this note as a spice mixed with other aromatic touches like ginger, saffron and absinthe, a nice touch of incense and immortelle, along with licorice, amber, and musky touches in the base. It sounds unique, while still having an Amouage DNA to it.

I enjoyed the detailed information about the cumin in the fragrance and how it allows the fragrance to be somewhat of a spicebomb. I enjoy Sebastian’s use of descriptive terms that allow to correlation of the Fragrance being some what dry. I’m interested in smelling the licorice hints aa well as the ambery touches in the mid into the base while still maintaining that Spivey flair!

I just tried a sample of this from Scentbird, and immediately I was like, "woah... what is that?!" Lo and behold, there's cumin listed as the 2nd note. I knew it probably is a scent that may irritate some, but I love it so much I just had to have a bottle. Beautiful fragrance, just definitely try before you buy!

Damn I got it coming in on a blind buy (yes I’m crazy like that) and after watching this I’m tempted to drive towards where it’s coming from to get it lol (also have Portrayal, Bracken and Imitation coming in and those I’m super excited for too)

Bracken is a marvelous spiced fougere and Imitation is a conceptual 70s floral leather orris-butter bomb. I have no idea what Portrayal actually smells like but great picks. I'm lucky to have a full presentation of Imitation in my collection!

Fate Man had not been in my rotation for about a month and I put it back on today. I love this frag. To me, if someone were to ask me to describe the personality and heartbeat of Amouage, this is it. Vast majority of their fragrances are NOT for everybody, but will Always appeal to a niche of patrons. I personally like cumin, my dad cooked a lot with it growing up--and coupled with multiple lengthy stays in the middle east I am definitely fond of many spices used so liberally by Amouage. It is strong in this frag but I don't view it as an overdose. I believe it's the immortelle and licorice that add a healthy dose of sweetness to this scent, which makes it a little different as well. To my nose the cumin also accentuates the actual musk notes. This is a great example of a frag that Should come from Oman, and that is important to this house. Fairly obvious I prefer heavier, complex, and multi-faceted fragrances. My favorites from this house include Fate Man, Journey Man, Black Iris and Interlude, Royal Tobacco, and in my mind their ultimate masterpiece--Overture Man.

I just got turned on to this house - received a bottle of reflection man and it is sublime. Definitely one of my favorite hot wears. This and mfk aqua celestial forte are on heavy rotation. SoCal is getting hot and I'm getting ready to move to San Antonio so enjoying these warm wear juices. Great review.

This is my first time understanding cumin in fragrance but I can “imagine” it by the way you describe it. It virtually smells astonishing and I wish I could try it with the saffron. I adore it in recipes. What a brilliant and creative mind to develop this fragrance. Is the Fate Woman similar?

Oh they are night and day different. The women's is a Chypre and very powdery. This is a Woody Spicy/Oriental fragrance. Totally different but both are very powerful and bold fragrances! :)

Hi sebastian. I smelled an amouage perfume many years ago and i cant stop thinking of it. It top note had frankincense and the heart was also stong frankincense along with other things. Plz help! I can't find it anymore in their boutique, I'm hoping I'll find it online but I still don't know what it is. Note; it was not cuminy

Either one amouage interlude I think but they have a few flankers of it now so I guess it was just the regular amouage interlude man ....or it was Jubilation XXV

I had to check my inventory, I have Honour Man, which I thought had lots of cumin, but I don't see it listed in the notes. I have 2 bottles, a 30ml travel size that seems very cumin-centric, and a 100ml (acquired later) that doesn't seem as spicy. Will have to check this one out the next time I run across Amouage. This one certainly sounds interesting with the spiciness, Immortelle, and licorice touches as well as a very touches u mentioned. I'm not sure if I like cumin or not the only fragrance I can think of that I have that even has it as a note is Pegasus and it's not a main player there. I don't care for cumin in fragrances. It seems to come off a bit skanky on my skin, esp with fragrances like Montale's Amber & Spices. The only spicy fragrance I enjoy is Journey man by Amouage.

I have doubts that I can make cumin work for my skin. I am a fan of Jubilation XXV (for her) but it doesn't work on my skin. I suspect that it is the cumin that doesn't agree with my chemistry. I am going to give Fate Man a try and see how this one works.

Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews I am from India originally and we eat Cumin in everything and put it in our drinks too. Hence the love for cumin is there for sure. My mother used to put them in sun to dry them and they used to smell nice 😍
