Gold Man is amazing. Just tried it out and I love it. It’s like another level of fresh from anything I’ve checked out.

Amouage Gold Man is a masterpiece. I don't get the polarizing thing. This is one of the best smells ever.

Funny how I’ve smelled it off the bottle and it smelled sharp and not appealing. I was sure out of the five mini bottles I wouldn’t like this one at all. Basically wrote it off because of the civet note. Nobody at the music venue liked it off the lid but they didn’t hate it, said it smells like soap. I wanted to try it anyway to see how the dry down is. I like it. Smells like fresh out of the shower like I just used a jasmine soap from a fancy hotel. A little soapy, regal, could wear with a suit or to the poolside lounge. People would mostly think you smell clean and fresh. Very appealing on skin! Scent maybe familiar to a lot of people but it reminds me of vacations and using fancy soaps. It’s probably not going to be my favorite overall from them but I’m surprised how much it appeals to me. I will wear it a few more times to see how it goes and I’ve already figured out that it’s a powerhouse. 4-5 drops on my arms is too much. 1 drop next time. ☝️

My favorite male Amouage and definitely one of their best... I also LOVE Jubilation 25 (for women).

Just got a sample of this and I like it. I can compare it to Fragrance du bois Heritage. An opulent powdery scent that a well dressed man can definitely rock. It’s definitely bottle worthy!

This is one of the many Amouages that I've smelled but never worn for one reason or another. Never bothered to get a decant either, but you're certainly tempting me! 😄

I am wondering if you have tried Xerjoff? I would love to see videos on that house! Great work!

I’ve tried Naxos and Nio. For me they are like Roja- good but quite expensive and never discounted. I prefer Amouage because they have more of a house DNA.

Great review! Definitely not for the juvenile. This fragrance takes a self-assured mature man to pull off. Very similar to Amouage Gold woman too in terms of floral notes, but much more skanky and animalic.

Cool review, I have never smelt it nor seen it for sale anywhere, there are so many good Amouage fragrances out there !

Right now in the States it’s one of the most discounted Amouages because so few people seek it out.

@@UrbanDwellerNYC Well its fit for kings as you have noted, that I am not. I already have Jubilation XXV, Interlude Black Iris and Memoir Man on my list to get first.

@@CH-yp5by haha. I like Black Iris too. I get a similarity to Memoir Man. I never clicked with Bertrand duchaufour’s creations for some reason. Good but not great to my nose.

I probably wouldn't like this scent at all. I hate civet and animalic notes in general, especially when they ARE NOT HANDLED WELL. I've smelled Chanel No. 5 and actually liked it. I also think the animalic funk in Parfums de Nicoli New York Intense is handled well. But then there is the floral masculine Givenchy Insense, which I don't like. But one thing I've noticed is my nose is different than yours. My favorite Amouage is still Bracken Man, the most photorealistic Fougere ever. And so I finally tried Gold from a decant I bought, and it's bad. As I thought it would be. So yes I'm in that group.

First of all please Stop gendering perfumes there is NO SUCH THING AS WOMEN/MEN PERFUMES it’s just a perfumes. And there is nothing wrong wearing flowery notes you wear what you like, I saw this review and I was so happy as I have the perfume and it is a master piece, however, the way of explaining floral notes to women and who can pull it off and who can is so not right. We as guys and not all guys loved the bleachy detergents, shower gel smell and some KZbinrs call it masculine. It’s like asking a women not to eat barbecue or drinking beer because it’s a men thing, and asking men not eating idk coz it’s women thing. This is my only comment on this review and tons of reviews there STOP GENDERING PERFUMES PLEASE.
@SeanHH1986 Жыл бұрын
i completely disagree. thank you for explaining and gendering the perfumes because my favorite fragrances are masculine. i enjoy florals alot compared to when i first got into this, but maybe we can agree that people should stop labeling anything floral as feminine?
@Grumpy1098 Жыл бұрын
Yea floral fragrances are traditionally recognized and marketed to be feminine. If you have such an issue with it , tell Amouage to not call it GOLD MAN

Some people that know Joy by Jean Patou say that it reminds them that. I still remember its scent and if that does it must be a masterpiece as you say. And if that person wears it, another good reason to buy it. 👍🫶
