It is different for Amouage, fresh easy wear. I had a bottle maybe 7 years ago and sold it as it was too feminine for me at the time. I may like it more now? Triad is my favorite fresh rose by Bortnikoff. Happy New Year Ramsey.

Great vid Ram. Funny I have sold a few old discontinued ones, like Vivre by Molyneux which i owned but wasn't bothered with too much. Heard Luca Turin mentioning it again recently on a podcast and was like 'hmmmm' maybe should have kept that discontinued gem.......

I didn't really like Babycat the first time either. Then I layered it with 2015 Aventus and was like..."whaaaaaat the helllllll is this" 😳🤯 My mad attempt to add more vanilla to the former king. 😆 Incidentally, Lyric was one of the first scents that got me into the brand. 🌹 Shortly after I picked up DSquared's Potion Royal Black I remember. Forced me to like rose and succeeded where Declaration d'un Soir did not. But like you said, change is inevitable. Well reviewed Ramsey.

Ramsey! Hello Thanks for this review. You're spot on with pointing out that It's is a romantic scent. I purchased Zarhoff'*Signature Rose & had a chance to compare the two. While signature Rose is beautiful rose and very different from lyric man, I found that I enjoy lyric man more than the former. Also! Mesoud arrived earlier this wk. A great blind buy which I'm happy to own, personally signed by Mr. Mesoud himself🙂! Thanks for review.👍! P. S. Loving Guerlain's Songe,so much so I have a 2nd vintage 2015 backup bottle on the way. It's one of the few backup bottles I own in my small frag arsenal. One of the best from the brand🙂!

Thanks for the video. I was afraid this day will come. I'll start from the bottom line - Lyric Man is a toilet air fresher for me. There, I said it. I'm a man who doesn't like flowery note in general, and rose in particular. I just don't like rose, unless it is part of an outrageously awesome blend, i.e. Richwood. I detect rose like a greyhound, like a shark. Reflection Man is also a big no no because of the rose note. Richwood is the only acceptable rosey perfume for me. But hey, Richwood is Richwood... a perfectly blended perfume (one of 3 Xerjoff that I like). I initially disqualified Richwood because of the initial rose note, but by the time I've finished my sample, I've changed my mind. After I've finished the second sample - I was in love. Thanks again for your wonderful thorough reviews.

Nice review! Lyric Man was one of my first niche purchases after I was very impressed with Reflection Man. I bought it blindly, but never regretted it, even though I had trouble fully grasping the scent at first. For me, the musk is very present in the scent and gives the whole thing this fluffy, airy character. I think Lyric is a rose for rose lovers and rose haters because, unlike many other scents, the rose doesn't overwhelm you with its heavy character. I will definitely wear the scent a few times next spring.

Interesting review, as I can tell you've delved far deeper into the fragrance than I have. Initially appealing, I got a dull soapy rose, more dried rose petals than fresh. Much prefer Lyric Woman as a livelier representation of rose.

I recently got a sample of this one, not sure if new batches or old batches, probably new batches, I live in hot weather, but I'm mostly inside air conditioning. This perfume is SO MUCH BETTER on the hot though. on the air conditioning this gave me an impression of dampness, but in the hotness it is way freshier, becomes less intimate and projects well

Great review 🐏 I have a sample of this floating around somewhere and I am not a fan of the soapy qualities. Plus I own a few fresh, dewy roses (Rose (or geraniol) and Cuir, Rose de Jamal) and much prefer them. However this has a cult following and was back when Amouage were doing interesting stuff so I do appreciate it

One of my favorite roses and it's amazing how amouage made this rose so delicate and dense at the same time. One of my favourite summer scents but honestly, I pop it out even in Canada during our current -20 times haha

I love rose scents, and Lyric Man was love at first sniff so to speak. Like you, it and one other, are my two most favorite rose scents ever. I had an aversion to iris now that too is another favorite note.

This is my all-time favorite rose 🌹 fragrance. I've smelled plenty. Including the Un Rose fragrance review you did 2 days ago. Second close to this rose would be beaufort london Acrasia, and third would be dior oud rosewood in their prive collection. As always, it was an awesome review of this fragrance. It's stellar! One of the best chypre made by Amouage. In fact, this is even more Chypre than i thought. I simply adore it, aldehydes with the soapy quality, rose, little animalics, and the resins. If Antaeus have been made by Amouage that's what I think it would have smelled like.

Have you heard of there being bad batches of this? I smelled this in store a decade ago and thought it was fresh and nice. I got a decant from a reputable source and all I get is windex. No rose, no lime, just ammonia.

i'm not a fan of rose, but with this particular amouage, we’ve both had a similar journey: going from dislike to appreciation 😁. indeed, it does well in winter, especially when paired with a dark red or bordeaux sweater that matches the bottle’s color. i also heard it's one of sultan pasha’s favorite perfume. the only other rose-leaning frag i enjoy is nicolai’s bois belize Intense, though maybe it’s not all that rosy (there's tea, osmanthus, spices, guaiacwood, patchouli).

I appreciate Lyric Man, but it’s not for me. I prefer Rose Incense. My old friend, loves Lyric Man, only Amouage he owns. I just never felt comfortable wearing it. It’s a nice clean rose scent, but it just gave me no confidence. I felt it was too feminine… and I own and wear feminine marketed perfumes. It’s been a few years now since I’ve smelled Lyric, last time I saw my friend actually. You’re running low on the classic Amouages to review… you’re going to have to do Purpose 50 soon😂😂😂 god, they’ve fallen so much.
