He has never made any significant money from music, ever. Jawbreaker's "Dear You" album was on a major label, but the band fell apart right after.

No, Jawbreaker was on its way out regardless-- even before the major label. The label was the only reason they finished Dear You. Blake didn't give up the life of a rock star or anything like that for bartending, no matter how romantic that idea is.

im a big jtb fan, and wonder just why blake is not living comfortably? i dont mean to 'sell out' to a major label but surely jawbreaker/jtb , jade tree, has made him a little rich,no? i find it disgusting bands like nickleback strive to just make as much money as possible when blakes wrote so many great songs that go un-noticed. price you pay for not going commercial/mainsteam i supposer
