Voice acting and broadway are two very different industries, and the cast of he broadway show (original broadway cast and all to follow for this show especially) wants to hire young people of african descent or people from africa. A significant part of the cast for the movie was actually white.

This group does this on plane, subways, etc. Please continue to spread this love. This is incredible. There are so many Disney songs if people broke out singing maybe we can all spread a little more love and peace than all this hatred we have lately. Its amazing music has been proven to be the one thing we can all agree upon and it brings everyone, no matter who you are or Where you came from, together.

Im a New yorker and stuff like this happens in the train a lot, like dancers or musicians just randomly getting on and doing their thing, so people are used to it. That's why they're not acting too excited. But a lot of people are still impressed though, they just don't show it

You have to understand, musical acts on NYC subways are pretty common. Broadway performances definitely aren't, but subway artists are actually pretty good. They have to be because they always ask for money at the end, which is what I suspect a lot of the passengers were expecting. Us New Yorkers also like our quiet time on the train, however short a ride it is, and hate when it's interrupted, no matter what it is. We perfected the art of pretending we're either asleep or just don't see you. That said, if I'd been there I would've been singing right along with them! And then pretended I was asleep, lol.

Mets78 thanks very much I truly agree with what you said being a New Yorker (especially how much we pay for transportation). Also I saw some people with their phones in their hands recording as well as flashes going off from some pictures being taken. I also saw some people at the end the performance give some of the performers high fives. So just because they were not "crying" doesn't mean they were ungrateful. People need to stop ASSuming (and I emphasize the word ass everyone reacts differently) they did not enjoy the performance.

I think its the fact that people come in the train everyday and perform whether its singing, dancing or whatever that we got so used to it, so its just nothing new anymore. Some days I appreciate it but there are some days where I would prefer some peace and quiet especially when its early in the morning

As a New Yorker, when people start singing on the subway, I usually pray for it to end. The people who don't look excited are those people who have been submitted to bad subway singers for so many years they can't absorb the miracle they are being made privy to.
