These amps are very accurate!!!! with that being said, he is doing this test at 14.4V - 14.8V ..... soo if you have a stock alternator and your voltage is anywhere between 13.2V - 13.8V volts, you will do the rated power the amp outputs and maybe more. love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one question though what is the current draw at 4 Ohms bridged??

Killer test, looking forward to the sax 125.4, I think that 200.4 would kill my mids easy, I have 6 Rockford 6.5 in my front doors and a pair of Rockford 4x6 in the back.

I have the deafbonce 200.4d basically the same amp, only my deafbonce was cheaper at $369, about half the price and has the same board and my deafbonce the crossover section goes upto 8khz and the sundown only goes up to 5khz.. mine also has clipping light.. these are very powerful amps, live mine

I'm assuming all these test were at 1KHz. Also when doing test on 4 channel amps please load down the other 2 channels when in stereo mode. Keep up the good work.

The amp dyno can only run 2 channels at a time. That's why I do 2 channels in stereo then bridge the amp into 2-channels. Only way I can do it.

@@UnofficialAudio it's not even about copying, it's about having accurate results. By no means am I saying that Sundown doesn't do rated. I just think people want to know how an 4 channel amp will perform with all channels being loaded down. And please don't say, "look at the bridged results" because 99% of people who buy 4 channel amps will never bridge them into 2 channels. Not trying to bust your balls, just looking for more accurate results.

+Had22s the bridged stereo results divided by 2 gives u the wattage per channel.. u just divide the wattage by 2 and the ohm load by 2 then you have your 4 channel results.. you can't test 4 channels on the dyno.. he did it 100% correct.. the last video he didn't do that test I don't think. I have the deaf bonce 200.4 basically the same amplifier only the deaf bonce goes from 20hz to 8khz high pass and low pass.. the skar audio 200.4 is very similar too!

I would put a cap on the tweets to protect them anyway, but this amp can run fully active, just set the high pass filter around 3khz and use the x10 switch

Not hating or anything i love sundown subs and amps but the taramps 3k is smaller and does more power, again not hating but in a build like mine i cant run sundown amps but i am running 2 sundown 18" team ferrite .7 ohm

I can't test 4-channels at a time. During the stereo test I was only testing 2 channels of the 4. That's why its STEREO. During the bridged test I was testing all 4 channels bridged into 2.

+Sundown Audio unofficial you need to bridge both channels and run it. that way the amp has a full load.. then you divide the numbers you get from the dyno to get the actual power per channel.. 2 channels bridged mono 4ohm = power per 4 channels @2ohm... that other KZbin dyno guy RYAN B does it the right way on the 4 channel pioneer he tested.. kinda hard to explain, but he explained it pretty well.. it shows you the power with all channels loaded, otherwise the test is no good

I did bridge both channels in the video. Watch the whole thing. Some amps are rated to do less when bridged so I ran it best I can both ways. Take the info how you like. All I can do is provide it for you.

This amplifier was out for several years before being discontinued to get replaced by a new updated Sundown SALT model. The new SALT-200.4 and SALT-500.4 should be available 1st quarter of 2020.
