Here is a review article on the Ampere Time 12V 100Ah Battery:

This test uses an Ampere (now LiTime) Time 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery to recharge an EcoFlow DELTA 2. The expandable battery for the DELTA 2 directly from EcoFlow is great, but it's also pretty expensive.
This test shows that you can use a deep cycle battery to recharge the DELTA 2 back to its full power and then some. However, I did run into a problem with recharge speed as the Renogy inverter I was using refused to recharge the DELTA 2 at anything above 300W.

Could you not just use the solar/DC charging ports to go DC to DC so you don't waste power using an inverter?

Yeah, no need at all to spend money on an inverter. You can either charge directly from the battery into the DC inlet port (if you're ok with 12 volt charging speeds), or you can step up the voltage with a DC to DC converter (for faster charge times). A converter is going to be about a tenth the price of an inverter, and it'll be more efficient. Since the inverter was only doing 300w, you could easily do that with direct DC.

You are better off using a 24V, or 36V, or a 48V battery and connecting to the DC port used for your solar panels that has the XT60 plug. With the 48V battery it will charge at 4 times the speed that the 12V battery offers and you do not need an inverter minimizing efficiency losses.

I have seen others have similar issues with Renogy inverters. Once they got a different pure sine wave inverter things worked right. Renogy 2000 and 3000 watt inverters seem to be junk.

You would be better understood by doing a voice over to explain what you're doing when you're relaxed.

Is it possable the EcoFlow Delta 2 wont allow 1800 watt charging if the batteries in the EcoFlow Delta 2 are below 10% charged? Battery chemistry and or safty my prevent charging of over 300 watts when the EcoFlow batteries are in such a low state of charge. Another possable is the 2000 watt inverter being used to charge the EcoFlow Delta 2 is not outputting aceptable 120 volt A/C pure sigh wave electricity. The inverter can operate a hot plate or heater just fine with less then acceptable pure sighn wave A/C. Just ideas. Thanks for the video.

To each his own. I regret ever buying it ! Wayyy over rated and over priced.

If you can only pull 300w via the AC input on an inverter then why don't you just use the solar input on the Delta and put 500w of "solar" in it from the external battery?

Pretty good info! What method do you use to recharge the stand alone battery? Maybe it's addressed in your other vids...so I'll go look. TYVM!

Did you try turning off the Delta2 before you plugged in the 2000 watt inverter? Then turned on the delta2 then the inverter?

Have you consider using an ebike battery to charge these stations? I have a 52v 20ah battery with the xt60 connections.

At 300 watts input, did it take about 4 hours to charge the Delta 2 from 0% to 100%?

What about with a conventional lifepo4 house battery with +\- poles? What’s the best way to connect a delta 2 max to this regular house battery so that the alternator charger is charging and discharging both batteries?

Great video thanks. Is there a way we can hook up a deep cycle battery like that into the side expansion port?

It sucks trying to charge your delta with the 2000w inverter at 300 watts. I tried with a 1000w inverter i was doing 200 watts but as you know my return date was like tge day before. So far out of energy is not working out. Im going to try Afllaa inverter.
