Fun fact: Even though they’re all tadpoles, Rosemary, Lavender, and Ginger are all a bit younger than Polly is.

That's because the mayor stopped _being_ the absolute worst.

Remember when Alycia hated the Mayor? Yeah, me neither. Lol, your reaction to Toadstool's "puppy dog"eyes. "Did you girls just mistake me for a corpse?" "Of corpse not Hop Pop!" Your reaction to the yodelling flower, XD! These were both cute episodes, but looking forward to the next few!

From the very first day you hated the mayor, I wanted to see you reacting to that first episode. Oh how things have changed 😂 And once again, Amphibia gives us the unexpected by bonding characters you wouldn't even dream they'd interact. Maddie and Marcy. What a duo 😁

thank you for acknowledging how interesting the magic/technology situation is! they make it super intriguing due to it being advanced yet ancient, it’s super fun to try to piece it together

The magic in Amphibia seems to be related to nature, where its made/conjured up by mixing different ingredients.

ugh, the show reeeally hits their stride starting here, very excited to see your reactions

Yes, I’ve been watching you on your journey of realization that the Mayor is not that bad of a guy after all. It was so great to witness your rivalry with the “archnemesis” Mayor Toadstool very slowly evolving into slight sympathy. Your hatred for the Mayor in the past is one of the funniest parts of your series. I love it!

Given how Amphibia's technology seems to be more ancient, I’d say magic is more prevalent in their current age. Next week, not only are we continuing our Temple quest, but we are once again checking back on Sasha. I bet you’ve missed her. 🙂

I totally understand why people are excited for Maddie and Marcy but I love a good redemption story and while the mayor is still pretty flawed a lot of people seem to miss the buiild up we had to this point. Even when I noticed him doing good I only kept it in the back of my mind and didn't WANT to read in to it. I felt similar to you about him but there may be multiple messages behind this and I think I know how they could have made this good portrayal better. Notice how when the mayor tried to be cute he looked ugly. There were good reasons to hate the mayor but there are also good reasons to hate other villians and yet we seem more accepting of redemption stories when it is for someone small, cute, attractive, or cool. There are lots of villian redemptions people love to root for but wiith someone like the mayor I actually said that I didn't really want to acknowledge anything redeeming about him at 1st. I really wish they used the following lines. Mayor: look you know how much I love money but I never wanted to hurt anyone and Anne nearly got killed last time we took money. Toadie: That was weeks ago. Where is this coming from all of the sudden? Mayor: Suddenly? You mean you hadn't noticed? Then we could see flash backs on how the Mayor helpped Anne put out the fire and actually said something nice in episode Anne of the Year. How the mayor saved frogs durring the season 1 finale and he is actually a Toad himself standing against his own kind to help frogs. And he was as forgiving as anyone else when the Planters returned and wrecked Wartwood. But I wanted to hate him and never really let any of that sink in until last episode. It seems like I am one of the few people who pick up on how the whole town was blaming only Marcy but then the Mayor actually steps up and tries to take responsibility. Then after thoese flash backs I wish Toadie said "WAIT so helpping Marcy fix up the town wasn't a scam?"

i thought it was so funny that you said that Marcy and Maddy would be friends and that happened very quickly

I think Amphibia is pretty equal it terms of magic and technology, but it seems to lean more into magic for me, especially in season 3.

Yes, in "Amphibia" almost all characters are more than they seem at first glance and have some hidden depths or character development. Also, while Maddie and Marcy are a great team and a true soulmates it would be great if Marcy shared some information about her childhood and motivation with her new friend... As for the question - Amphibia is more magical in the present day but it seems like magic and technology were more in balance in the past.

While magic certainly exists in amphibia, a lot of things that seem magical are actually technological in origin, just extremely old and advanced. Or a mix of technology and magic.
@SirSadness8 ай бұрын
Amphibia is a lot more technological. Magic feels like a hobby that weird people have. It's not a revolutionary thing, it's just like if someone had gardening as a hobby and sometimes they sold their stuff.
