The first time I saw one of those Amphicars was on the TV Show Pawn Stars. Rick almost bought one from a seller and they test drove it around a lake. Wonder were Disney got them from ? They were made a long time ago.

Neat fact...they overbooked our stay at all star sports and sent us to Saratoga springs for no charge. Best vacation ever.

@@jasontipton546 I stayed at Saratoga. Problem I had was the number of bus stops made it a long ride. Also if you’re not near the main building or near Disney springs you are kind of stuck for food options. Like walking to go get coffee took forever. Other than that it’s a good one

I was supposed to stay there in April but we had to cancel obviously. Not sure when we will make it back to Disney or if we will try to stay there again. We were going to ask for a room closer to Disney Springs and the boat docks. I don't remember but I think the rooms on that side are more recently remodeled and are highly disired compared to other buildings at the resort.

Adam the whole area used just be called Lake Buena Vista. Back in the 80s it was only the paddlewheeler and mini boat rentals,nothing else was there.

I rode in one of those amphibian cars years ago. What a blast!! It was at the New York Worlds fair. 64-65. Great to see them still around. The day I wait, either in person or virtually, for a cookie. NOT!

My wife and I just spent a week in Orlando. Went to Disney Springs a couple of times. Ate at two different places. Excellent food both times. Shops where great. Wonderful experience. Spent time at many other places you have covered. Thanks for giving us excellent ideas for a fun Orlando experience.

I remember one of these cars parked out front of a business in Lodi Ca for years back in the 80’s . I’ve only ever seen one other one in person. Very cool
